You know those lyrics ‘You don’t know what you’ve got ‘til it’s gone’? I think I’m starting to really get it. Yes, I’m homesick. It’s only been about a month and I’m already homesick. There are obvious things I miss like people, but also minor little comforts that this time just doesn’t seem to have. Giant gas station smoothies, ice cream... There’s a theme of edibility for a lot of the little things I miss. Not that the food here is bad or anything like that. It’s just not caramel swirl from the local frozen custard place. It’s not home. This time of year back where and when I belong I’d be moved into my dorm and I’d probably be homesick there, too. I guess it’s inescapable.

What do you all miss?

	My books would have something at least. I'd just feel a lot fucking better with them on hand. Nothing wrong with that. Tell you what, when we get back I'll take you and Charley to all the best spots. Call it making up for being stuck in the fucking Dust Bowl. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)
