Elle couldn't seem to figure out why everyone was so upset. This was much better than the alternative, to her. Sylar had been about to kill her, just last night. It wasn't last night anymore, and that was complicated...but she'd deal with that later. He'd been about to kill her, and then suddenly she was here. Someone had seen fit to intervene and to save her life. At first Elle thought it might have been Hiro Nakamura. He'd brought her to the beach in the first place. But there was no sign of him here. Not that it meant anything, what with him being a master of time and space and all. This was something else entirely, and Elle wasn't quite sure what to think. But it was better than being dead. She could have done without the dress, really. The 1930s clearly were not known for their fashion. She knew she was here because of what she was, a freak. And that was fine. She'd been a freak her whole life. And so sheltered. She'd never really had a chance to be on her own, and do what she wanted. That wasn't exactly what was happening here...but close enough. She figured she could just fry people a little, if they made her mad. But it was better not to get into trouble on her first day. If people wanted to see her electrical talent, great. She'd do whatever she could, not to go back to that sad moment. Her death on the beach was not something she was looking forward to. It seemed like there were people showing up from all over. That was interesting. And most of them weren't taking it so well. It didn't matter, they couldn't do anything about it. It was a waste of energy to bitch and moan about it all. Elle could think of places she'd rather be, but dead wasn't one of them. She might have wanted that, for a second...when she realized what Sylar was going to do. She might have given in and died with a whimper, but now she had another chance. And that was something that Eleanor Zoe Bishop was more than grateful for. She looked around a bit, at people setting up. This was her new home, and she was going to make the most of it. This could definitely be interesting, and she was choosing to think of it as an adventure. |
