elle bishop doesn't want to just be damaged (ellectric) wrote in carnaval_logs, |
Elle wondered what kind of life Dean led if something like this was no big deal. He didn't seem to want to elaborate on it, though. And she wasn't going to push him. She didn't know him and he didn't know her. She was pretty curious about what he'd seen that could be weirder, but she supposed this carnival counted for that. As grateful as she was, she knew this was far from normal. Still she was alive, and that was a good reason to be happy.
"I've been around people with powers in some capacity for my whole life." Elle explained. "There was this...Company and my father was basically in charge of it. Their main goal was to make sure that powered people weren't a threat to the world. Somewhere along the line that mission was changed, maybe even corrupted... This was before I was even born. And my father, well he was a firm believer in 'the ends justify the means'. I don't know if that was his way of making himself feel better for the terrible things he inflicted on so many people, including his own daughter." Elle shook her head. "I'm sorry, you probably don't need to hear all of this." It was just that Dean was kind of easy to talk to. And Elle wasn't sure when she should just shut up. Her social skills were decidedly subpar.
"He wasn't... not always." Elle said when Dean said all Gabriels must be dicks. The reason Gabriel had become Sylar was partially because of her. She'd been a company girl, wanting to make daddy happy. She was never a very good agent though. "Once upon a time, he was just a troubled man." She and Noah had pushed him to become more. Bob had wanted to see what Gabriel Gray could do. Either he didn't know what he would become or he didn't care. "You don't want to take on Sylar, trust me." Elle said, genuinely concerned for Dean. "He's invincible with more powers than you can imagine."
