“I don’t know whether I hope they know what they’re doing or not. Part of me wants them to just so I can convince them to send me back home, but the other part would find them knowing what they’re doing to be a little more sinister and unsettling than I’m comfortable with.” She frowned slightly. She didn’t like bad guys. Villains made movies exciting, but in real life the truly bad ones were terrifying. “No one would take people from their home just to fill up empty spots, would they?” Amy sounded hopeful. It really was unsettling to think that she could be dealing with people who were like that, if you could call what she was doing dealing with Management.
