Eithne was frustrated, and it was showing on her face. Part of the reason she'd never asked to use the sword is because of this. She was not trained to use this kind of weaponry, and like everything that Eragos knew how to do it took patience to learn. In fact, one of his lessons had been patience and she'd failed that time and time again. When he took the sword from her and laid it against her neck she did freeze and stare at him. She hadn't expected to lose it that easily. Not without an actual fight. Brilliant. Eithne felt stupid. Swords were things knights used, not something a street fighter used. What was she doing. Maybe he could read that on her face, but he didn't seem to be giving up on teaching her. Which meant that this was something he did want.
Even if he was being cocky about it.
She took the hilt of her sword again, and waited until his hand let it go to withdraw it. Fine. She planted her feet this time, but it felt very silly to do so. "Isn't there a way to have a bit of both? Standing still doesn't feel right." She admitted softly, but followed his lead this time. Planted her feet and tried to strike that way. Of course, yet again, Eragos had no problem deflecting her blow. Gripping the blade wasn't any easier to her, and she pulled if back after he deflected it. It was heavy, moving this way was awkward, and he wasn't making anything easy. It was just like before.
Only they weren't away from everyone else. And there wasn't as much cursing from her side of things. But then again, Eragos wouldn't have the chance to make her run water to and fro places with two buckets either for not listening to him. How he ever passed her as a Rider.. She didn't question it as much now. He needed her without knowing because there were things he wouldn't be willing to do again. He might have killed Sarta, but what about the next? What if it came down to Vera and him? Could he be willing? Not that she believed that Vera was involved anymore..
But what if it had to do with someone close to them? Could either of them?
Just the thought of it made her more grounded. She had to learn this. She gripped the hilt tight and went in for it again. Planting her feet like he showed her and leading with one. This time all her strength was in it, if she failed she'd try again until she got it right. There was no time to get it wrong forever. No time to practice this day after day with him when they were running into a den of snakes.
