Ali's playby is now Leven Rambin. I felt that Emilie didn't properly portray Ali and even though Sasha is older now, I don't like using the same playbys for the book versions when the two media are so different. After talking to Jeia about it (who plays this Ali's love interest) we agree that Leven is better for the character.

To avoid confusion, she looks no different from her previous conversation and she hasn't gone anywhere and come back.

Hey darlings! I'm still working on the quotes but I have all of the links added to my list that I can. However, I need help.

Your job: Check over the list to see if there are any links that are missing or that you can provide (most will likely be unapped chars). Also check to make sure your links are correct. Let me know if you want any connections with my chars. If the character has a name by "ships" they have a love interest planned. If there's no name by it they're open. If you're not sure if I have someone coming in to fill a specific friends role, please contact me and I'll let you know.

I did assume a couple of connections if I'm unaware of anyone coming in (no ships though, those have all been planned beforehand!) If there are multiples of a character, I didn't pick either of them unless already discussed and if you want to be that connection please let me know. If I have multiples, one of mine may have connections that another does not.

Also, if you aren't my main storyline for any character, that doesn't mean that I won't interact with you. I'm open to any kind of interaction--twins, same characters as my connections, completely different fandoms. So if you have ideas? Hit me up :)

Hey loves, it's Lissa again with three new characters as well as some "updates" on my current ones.

This is Freya Beauchamp from Witches of East End (she also ties into the Blue Bloods series that my Mimi is from). The tv series has literally just started so there is a lot about Freya we don't know. In the books she was the Goddess of Love, so that may still come up but for now I'm just calling her a witch and she's just discovering her powers (so there's always room for revealing other things later). As far as personality, Freya is very fiery and passionate. In the show she's engaged to Dash and is drawn to his brother Killian. In game she's currently open to a love interest. I know a couple of Ingrids will be coming in, but otherwise Freya is completely open to plot and very awake. So if anyone wants to interact with her please let me know. I may put up a net post later too.

Sophie Deveraux famousgumbo is a witch from the new Vampire Diaries spinoff The Originals. She's actually coming in from 1.2 which is tomorrow's episode so I won't be posting for her until after that. As far as love interest, I believe she will be dating Stefan Salvatore in game. She also has some plot coming with Kol. Otherwise, she's completely open to plot.

Davina Claire sickofcant is also a witch from The Originals and also coming from tomorrow's episode. She's a teenage girl who just wants a normal high school life but instead she is very sheltered. She's Marcel's "pet witch" and the person who tells him if witches are using magic. I am not closing off any possibilities (double agent, eventually betrays him, etc) so she can really go either way at this point... which does mean she can either go good or evil in game as well. She's open to a love interest (which may affect what way she goes if she does get one) and any and all other plot.

I'm considering bringing in Freya's aunt Wendy as well but that will be another week at least.

Now that my new girls are introed, there are a few girls I'm updating/have updated before posting with them.

Bonnie Bennett and Katherine Pierce are both from 5.1 now. Bonnie is being played as a ghost for now, but as they are now in the Shadowhunter world, she is visible and can interact in person and on the network. She is translucent, so anyone who sees her will easily be able to tell she's a ghost. The only thing she's "solid" for is typing.

As I mentioned before, Adrian and I went over TVD vampire rules to see what we needed to change around due to continuity. We have only noticed two errors so far so instead of making a list of defined rules, we will be going over those ones with continuity errors. We are leaving this open for questions as well in case there are any we have missed.

1. In season 2, Elijah said that the Originals are not affected by the sun at all. In season 3, Rebekah said that the sun is their enemy.

Solution: The sun burns the Originals but not enough to kill them. It will expose them, however, so they do wear daylight rings.

2. In TVD, vampires have entered sacred ground without invitation. In The Originals, Sophie said that Elijah had to be invited on sacred ground.

Solution: We are nixing the invite to sacred ground rule. All vampires from the verse, whether TVD or Originals can enter sacred ground.

Note: There was also question as to whether vampires would need to be invited into the Institute, but seeing as it's more like a hotel for Shadowhunters, we are treating it as a sacred hotel. They are able to enter.

However, the Institute doors can only be opened from the outside by a Shadowhunter, once inside anyone can open the door. That being said: if your character goes anywhere and they are not of Shadowhunter blood, someone will have to let them in. This can be any character who is inside, so if you want to use one of your chars or have them ask a friend to open the door that's up to your discretion. Yes, this does change from what is said on the rules and FAQ pages, but we forgot the anyone can open them from the inside part.

We do apologize for all of the mod posts today. We're trying to get everything worked out and a productive mod day means that lots of things are being put into place that players need to be made aware of.

Hey everyone. There's a new plot type thing in game where Sebastian has allowed people on his side to leave New York. Mind you all, this will still be in THEIR WORLD. They will not be going back to their world when they leave. (Ex. If Blaise wanted to go to her grandmothers witch shop in Las Vegas and she asked Sebastian if she could go to Vegas, she'd go -by plane, car, etc.- and end up in Vegas. When she went to the location, the shop wouldn't be there because it would still be the shadowhunter world.)

For those who want to update, he will still give them the option of going home through portals every now and then so it's not much different than those on the good side.

People who want to go somewhere will have to let Sebastian know so he's not like "Where is Regina?" and be told that she went off to Africa without him knowing.

To let him know about vacation, it is vial that you post about it and tag it "!Vacation". I will tag it if you forget, but please try to remember. We need to know where all the characters are location wise all times.

I've been updating my own personal cast list on my CDJ, and I'm trying to get who all my characters are connected to. Obviously I know that my Shadowhunter Chronicles characters that are game canon(Jace and Sebastian) are connected to other game canon characters, but other than that, I only know about love interests.

If I have a connection with you, or you want one, comment here with which of my characters you want, which of yours, and your journal name for it (number would be nice too but not required.)

Hey guys! So we have all been here a week now (or most of us have) I want to go over a few things with you guys.

1. In case you are unaware, housing changes can be requested as long as the following rules apply. Isabelle will also post about this in character later.

* The character you want to room with can only share a room with you if you are in a romantic relationship (gender specific doesn't apply) or if you are a blood or legally adopted relation. If you make friends with someone from another fandom and wish to share rooms, that is fine as well. // Note: lies can be told on rare occurrences as they have no way of knowing. However, we ask that you not make this a habit.
* Room changes must be discussed in game prior to making the request and both characters must be in agreement. I know sometimes it's easier to get them all taken care of at once and I've done it before too if my character asked and is waiting on a reply, but I'm trying to get away from that. I would like the agreement to happen before it's posted just for continuity sake.
* The room change request will be made on the post in Isabelle's journal impureatheart and will be processed weekly. These (as well as other requests) must be done in character.

2. Other requests can be made as well. If you have money you're welcome to go out and buy anything you want as long as you don't have to leave the five boroughs to do it. If it's something you can't get in the NYC area, you can ask for it and provide the money (no extra required) to Isabelle who will get it or send someone else. You can also request something from home. Harry Potter characters didn't have your wand on you? You can request your wand. A Vampire Diaries character doesn't feel safe and wants vervain? You can ask for it. Just keep in mind for traveling/portaling requests it will take a few days to get (and a thank you is often appreciated).

3. That being said, Game Canon characters can leave, but only them. Currently we have for Game Canon: Isabelle, Jace, Clary, Helen, Sebastian (who may offer the same things to people on his side? That's up to Adrian), and we will have a Simon and an Aline. Anyone else is open, but it must be someone who is up-to-date on the books as it's a year post-CoLS.

4. Please keep in mind that the Infernal Cup is a permanent decision and should you decide to have your character drink from it (willingly or forcibly) it will turn your character completely evil. They will not have any care for former attachments. This is built into our premise and keeping in mind while we have only seen Nephilim drink from the cup, we are assuming it's the same for all. Also note: if your character is any other species besides human or nephilim, we are assuming the cup wouldn't work on them and with their powers they wouldn't need it anyway. If you just go evil by choice without the cup, it's your characters emotions involved and you will play them the way you think they would play.

5. And as with any major storyline, please discuss any major changes with people who will be affected even when it comes to the Infernal Cup. If people lose storylines without being consulted, it can hurt. If you are reading this, please tell us what you will be dressing up as for Halloween.

6. When applying for characters, if they are before the canon, please note that they are pre-canon and give us a general idea (how long before canon, a year, what time period, etc), if they are from an actual canon point of any series (book, show, movie) please include the the number and title. If it's a standalone you can either just say "after the movie" or give us something that happened in it to give a general idea of where you are. If it's post canon with some kind of timeskip, please give us an idea of how long after canon, similar applies to the pre-canon.

7. Also, I know a lot of people like the app to be in their character journal. I am one of them. However, because of the shorter app, it's easier on the mods if we can just read the application off the app page rather than opening another link. What I do is I post it in my journal then copy and paste the app into a comment rather than linking it. That way all of the info is on the app page but it's still accessible for me after the apps are deleted. However, it is not required to put the app in your journal.

8. TVD vampires Adrian and I will soon be discussing vampire rules and making a list of what ones will apply in game and which won't. This comes because there has been some continuity errors between different rules and that can cause confusion as to which ones apply and which ones don't. Apparently Plec is treating The Originals as a completely different world and it's not. Basic rules still apply. We will let you know when the list is up.

9. Once people get settled in more, we will begin doing monthly plots. Those will be voted on.

Note: Mod posts may not always be consistent but they all do require a reply. I will try to give people a week to reply to them before sending out emails so please be sure to check your friends page or the ooc comm specifically at least weekly to be kept up-to-date.

Hello loves, it's Lissa again. I have some more characters to introduce you to. They are not yet on my cast list so here goes.

Helen Blackthorn - This one actually is on my list but is now officially in game. She's from Game Canon (so she's 19 instead of 18) and she's also on the Council and will periodically travel to Idris for meetings. This makes her almost as important as my Isabelle impureatheart. Anything that needs to be taken to the Council will need to be mentioned to Helen. Helen is also dating (engaged?) Em's Aline.

Hermione Granger - I'm not going to go into a lot of detail. She's from a couple of months after the war in Deathly Hallows. Her love interest is Callie's Ron.

Lily Luna Potter - Lily is from 2029. She's a quidditch player for the Harpies and is secretly, but deeply in love with Scorpius Malfoy (will be played by Jeia).

Cosette Pontmercy - Cosette is from after the movie, she's married to Marius.

James Rasmussen - James is a lamia (living, but still immortal vampire. He can choose when to stop aging, which will probably be soon). He's dating Callie's Poppy North.

I am bringing in a marauder era HP char but haven't decided which.

Damien Thorn | The Omen | antichrist_ceo. Just as his username suggests, he's the Antichrist, son of Satan/Lucifer, and owner of worldwide corporation Thorn Industries. He's 18-21 here, set between his second and third movies. He's currently in the Institute.. though he will be joining Lilith's side soon, possibly a week or later, he just wants to feel things out first to understand the situation more. Also for vampires if wanted, he'd be willing to donate though his blood might be a bit different than the usual human type of it lol. His roommates are Angeline Dawes (1), Jill Dragomir (1), and Kol Mikaelson (1).

Draco Malfoy | Harry Potter | malfoy_pride. He's from after the last book, but pre-epilogue, right after the end of the Battle of Hogwarts. He's mostly the same as he was then, just not a total git as he once was. Still has his Malfoy traits and ego. But no way does he want to work with any Dark Wizard again, last time was enough (though admittedly, some of was already against his will). His roommates in the Institurte are Emily Fields (1), Éponine Thénardier (1), and Blaise Harman (1).


Eric Draven | The Crow | pissedoffcrow. He comes from after the first movie. He was a sort of vengeance spirit, brought back to life by a crow (an ancient supernatural myth or belief) to "put things right." In his case, avenge the death of himself and Shelly at the hands of killers and thugs. And then he went back to his grave. He wears all black, sometimes leather, gothic face paint, and occasionally speaks cryptic dark poetry. Fan of "The Cure" and other metal music too too. His roommates in the Institute are Ariel Moore (1), Kara Zor El (1), and Julia Cavendish (1).

Kara Zor-El | Smallville | maiden_of_might. Her canon point is after the series finale, with her joining the Legion in the 30th Century. She has the same powers and weaknesses as her cousin Clark, even wears blue and red, with the "S" too. Though no cape yet, she may work on that here. She's definitely going to be on the good guys' side here. She lives in the Institute, her roommies are Ariel Moore (1), Julia Cavendish (1), and Eric Draven (1).

Hey everyone! I'm Heather. I am playing four characters here at By the Angel. First is this cuteie, Marlie Bane-Lightwood. She is the adopted daughter of Magnus and Alec (because in my head canon, nothing happened between them to cause them to break up!). Marlie is seven. She is wary of magic in general though she herself possesses magickal ability. She is half shadowhunter and half warlock (she is the daughter of Ragnor Fell).

Secondly, I have brought in Beatrice "Tris" Prior, from the Divergent trilogy by Veronica Roth. I have brought her in from the end of the first book. She prefers to be called Tris, not Beatrice. (Unless you're her brother or her mother, or her father, that is).

Thirdly, I have brought in Jem Carstairs. He is taken from the epilogue of Clockwork Princess and beyond.

Finally, I have Gabriel Lightwood. He has been taken from the end of Clockwork Princess.

The last two will be in the game soon. :)
