Hawkshead
This too will be posted over in the mod journal but until then we're also posting a list of all the building, businesses, and community services Hawkshead has to offer!
Community Services Post Office- One small little brick thing, half covered in ivy stuffed between a bakery and a empty lot. Two red drop boxes scattered around town and one out by the train stain.Staff of 10. Community Center- A larger modern building, it sits outside of the main town nearer to the Secondary School. Equipped with a gym and a few side rooms this is used like any Community rec center, as a gym, place for holding indoor rec league, crafting classes, etc. Police Station- On the south end of town the two story building, with holding cell sits with a small fleet of four cars and a canine unit of two German Shepherds.Staff of no more then 20. Beatrix Potter Library- Situated in the heart of town the squished building contains only Muggle books of course! It's short and squat and is never open at tea time or Sundays.Staff of 6 Town Hall- A block or two away from the main center the two story building contains the offices of council and all governmental departments except the DFT/DSA. Courthouse- With only a few actual courtrooms two hells have been made into one as on the ground floor sits the DFT/DSA{DMV}. It sits diagonal from the Town Hall. The Myddfai Group Bank- After the Goblin's retreated underground a small group of wealthy Welsh wizards and witches started to give their people a place to securely put their money. With a branch in Hawkshead and three small windows located in London, Edinburgh and Cardiff the keep regular banking hours. Staff of 14 total in all four locations. St. Mary of Furness Private Hospital- Not exactly a community building this hospital is owned by the former Ministry and treats the down for anything from a cold to depression to genital warts to pregnancy to an amputated arm. So really anything! Comprised of doctors and nurses from St. Mungo's the more modern three story building with two small wings sits relatively outside of town. Staff could be up to 125
Education and God St. Andrews- Anglican Church towards the west end of town. St. Mary's Cathedral- Ornate Catholic church more on the Northern borders of the territory line nearer to the lakes. Lancashire Chapel- Methodist church, small one building on the edges of town.
Hadrian's Primary- Infant school for 4 to 6 year olds is on a combined campus with Junior school. Located behind a brick wall the school helps establish magical children with a strong Muggle upbringing but helps them control their magic sans wand. Not open to the public. Hadrian's School for Upstanding Young Boys and Girls- The Junior school for 7 to 10 year olds is on a combined campus with the infant school.Located behind a brick wall the school helps establish magical children with a strong Muggle upbringing but helps them control their magic sans wand. Not open to the public. Hawkshead's Secondary Education- The secondary school for 11 to 15 year olds, the more modern building that doesn't sit far from outside of town. Wulfric A.P.B. College- The sixth form building and class area for adult education sponsored by the town for those adult wizards still trying to break it into the Muggle world. No uniforms required!
*On the God note we know not all characters are Christian or associate with any faith for that matter but historically this was the dominate religion and these three the dominate divisions.*
Businesses Babbitty Rabbity Daycare- A colorful old cottage house turned daycare. Teo Derrick works there. Derrick Private Investigations- Husband cheating? Wife stealing money? Think your neighbor stole your cat? Former Aurors Charlie Derrick {npc} and Cho Chang work out of the second floor of a row house near the center of town. Boots Pharmaceuticals- Part of the chain of national pharmacy's, Terry Boot's family runs the chain and he owns and runs this chain. Wilkes Funeral Home- States what is right there, but could it cover things much more sinister? Callum Warrington employed here. Longbottom's Nursery- Neville's nursery that he runs year round, even supplying the town with firs, spruces and holly's for Christmas. Set outside of town so he has space to grow. Archimedes Den- Run by Demelza Robins and her father this hip bookstore situated at a corner plot. Come in, relax, have some coffee! Rivers&King Realtor- The only real estate business in town, they helped the ministry find this town and helped them acquire buildings and homes for the community. Owned by Riza Rivers and partner. The Harp of Dagda- Musical instrument shop, not a record shop. Isabel MacDougal is employed there. Wellard's All Animal Clinic- The local vets that deals with household pets and farm animals. Will Summerby works here. Wordsworth's Literary Co.- A more "chain style" bookstore, AKA high end, the two story building sometimes looks more like a library employs several people and is managed by Josiane Dorny while the owner prefers to eat biscuits at home. The Stacks- Organic, free trade restaurant with an ever changing menu. Owned by Chef Su Li. Boutique - a little lingerie boutique that also sells online, done in a Parisian touch owned and worked in by Bronwyn Dunstan. The Jade House Take out- Chinese restaurant ran by the Chang family who came to support their daughter. Andrew Kirke also delivers from here! Roper Distillery- The old magical whiskey brand has tried to Muggle-ize themselves with a shop and tasting bar. Owned by the Roper family. Shroomhead Pizzeria- Not a place to get pot but definitely run by a pot head! Andrew Kirke delivers pizza for them. Bars- There are three bars, no more, no less. *There are indeed more business so feel free to make them up but if you wish to work or own any of them please let us know and we'll add the business here!*
