I really like this ep, too. And Oh Lordy, the mini skirts and the go-go boots!! Did you guys know that Sarah Michelle Gellar originally read for the Cordelia role? Would she have done a good job as Cordy?
Willow's comments on Owen are so funny: he's "sensitive yet manly", and "he can brood for 40 minutes straight".
This ep is kinda classic in delivering the neverending Buffy theme, 'I wish I could be a normal girl.' You know, after season one, I don't think Buffy really means that anymore. She loves being the Slayer, and she'd never be happy being 'normal'.
I think Owen even sees this in her, the beginning of the battle between light and dark inside Buffy; when they're dancing, he says, “It’s like you’re two people”. He kinda loves that dark side of her, the lure of danger.
Of course so does Xander! Lurrve Xander! Why doesn’t Buffy lurrve Xander?? He’d be a perfect 'normal' guy for her, yet he’s down with her secret! What more does she want?
I loved in this ep: Giles wields the mighty power of library books!
I hated in this ep: The Annoying One makes his appearance!
