Who: Solana & Jackson Where: Huntington Beach early evening before sunset When: Monday Afternoon, 11/15
Solana had been spending most of her time at the beach lately. She went to work, and to school, but the majority of her time outside of that was spent down at the beach, relaxing. She sat just out of the reach of the water in the sand in a pair of cut off shorts and a bikini top covered with a black tank top. Her hair was pulled up in a messy ponytail, the front of it was teal blue, and matched the strings of the bikini top as well as the teal flip flops that were sitting next to her on the sand.
Jackson had been on his way to grab some dinner when, at the last moment, he changed his mind and decided to head to the beach, for the sole purpose of soaking up some rays before the sun went down. And yes, he really DID tend to randomly change his mind like that. Parking his red corvette, he took off his t-shirt and sneakers, sprinting down the beach in just his light blue jeans, figuring he'd ignore the few other people walking around... until he saw that tattooed beauty sitting near the shore... and stopped in his tracks. "Holy.... who is THAT?" he muttered to himself.
Solana relaxed in the sunshine, enjoying how it felt against her skin. She trailed her fingers through the sand as she closed her eyes. She heard the muttering and could almost feel him looking at her. She glanced over at him, tri-colored eyes raising up to meet his. She blinked softly before nodding to him softly. "Hello..." she had always been friendly.
He reached up, giving a boyish grin as he brushed his hand through his short blonde locks. "Sorry if I disturbed you. You just kinda surprised me. I can head off on my merry way if you like..."
She shook her head and smiled. "You didn't bother me... I spend a lot of time out here." she said shrugging. "You come here much?" she asked as she looked back out at the water. She seemed at home on the beach, which made sense, since she lived just over 100 yards from where she sat.
"Not really?" He laughed, feeling his cheeks redden as he caught himself really... checking her out. "I just sort of go wherever my brain takes me. I leave to go one place... usually end up in a whole nother place."
She smiled as she looked up at him. "You can sit down with me, I promise not to bite..." she said trailing off.
"Don't go making that promise on MY account..." He said with a flirty laugh, winking at her before crouching to the ground, stretching out beside her. "Got a name, babe?" He asked casually, trying to start some sort of conversation.
She laughed softly. "Well if you wish for me to bite you're going to have to let me know..." she teased with a soft shake of her head. She looked over at him. "Of course I have a name... Hey you would be awkward..." she said as she watched him for a moment. "Solana..." she said finally.
"I'm Jackson. Nice to meet you." He said, offering her a hand as he propped himself up with the other one. "Love the hair, by the way. Very nice."
She took his hand and gave it a soft shake. "Nice to meet you too." she said as she smiled. "Thanks... she said as she pulled her hand back and pushed a stray hair out of her face. "I've been in a teal mood lately... thought sometimes its red." she said as she shrugged.
"Oh man... you change it a lot? That's seriously cool." He smiled as he dug his toes into the sand, loving the feel of it. He briefly wondered how SAND could affect his... powers, and made a mental note to eventually try it out. "Love the tats, also. I admit... my big weakness? Girls with ink."
She shrugged. "Sometimes. I tend to change my mind lot." she said with a small laugh. She felt her cheeks flush whenever he said that he had a weakness for girls with tats. "They're kind of my way of thumbing my nose at my Father's family..." she said as she shrugged. "I love the colors and everything. And my father was appalled."
"See? You get double points for that then." He thought, giving an adorably frustrated expression. "Although I'm not sure what the points are really good for... or what exactly they WIN you..."
She laughed softly. "My Mom calls them Brownie points... and I usually got brownies whenever I got so many." she said with a shake of her head. "She gave me brownie points for thumbing my nose at my Father too."
"Wow. That's so literal... I love it." He laughed, looking at the sky. "I feel kind of bad... I had such a great relationship with my dad...."
She shrugged. "I had a great relationship with my Mom... My Mom was more a free spirit like me... My Dad... think Prince Charles, only ... cuter?"
"Not hard to do... I mean, that dude could fly across the world with those ears." Right... Jackson? I think you're missing the point, m'boy. "My mom's more... serious and boring. My dad was the fun one. We used to go shoots hoops every afternoon when he got home from work."
She smiled. "That sounds fun. My Mom and I used to swim here a lot actually." she said nodding to the ocean. "Before she went home..."
"Home? Where's she live now?" He asked, not having even the slightest inkling as to what the girl really was.
"Ireland..." she said with a shrug. "She was born there... lived there until she was pregnant with me and then she left, because she didn't want my father to have a hand in raising me..."
"Damn... sounds like yer Dad's a real piece of work..." He was starting to get it more: the whole rebellion thing... it wasn't just some teenage thing. The girl's father sounded like a real piece of shit. "So... you live around here?"
"He's... not that bad. He's just not a good dad. He'd make a better Dad if I was more like his family... I just don't have it in me." she said shrugging. To his question, she nodded her head. "Yeah... I live just over there." she said pointing at one of the beach houses that was a little more modern in style with a large deck with a hot tub on it.
"Is that a jacuzzi?" He asked with a lazy grin, looking at the house. Ok, so that typical male part of his brain was now picturing them making out in it. He wasn't gonna admit it, so shut up! "Niiiiiiice."
She nodded her head as she looked at him. "Yeah. I'm a bit of a water junkie... I swim in the ocean every morning and soak in that at night." she said with a smile.
He couldn't help but be honest... not because he was just that good of a guy as much as, well... he wasn't exactly a big thinker. He just tended to blurt out whatever he was feeling. "I never liked swimming, really. But to see you in the water? I think I'd learn to like it."
She felt her cheeks flush as he said that. "Oh... I kinda like the idea of you swimming with me." she said as she bit her bottom lip. "Though I warn you that I'm a little bit of a junkie, so I'll probably drag you out in the water if you're around... or at least in the hot tub."
"You know... I think I'd give anything just to BE in a hot tub with you, to be totally honest." He laughed, just looking her over. "Not trying to be a perv here, but you're just about the sexiest thing I've ever SEEN."
She bit her bottom lip as she felt her blush spread, darkening. "I... thanks." she said softly as she looked down at her knees. She looked back over at him. "You're pretty good looking yourself." she said.
"Then... I can't think of a reason two such good lookin' people shouldn't be spending time together, you know? I mean... it'd be kind of a crime to let someone NOT as attractive as either of us be with the other, right?" He asked, his voice obviously playful, the grin on his face full of boyish flirtiness.
She couldn't help but laugh softly as she looked at him. "I think maybe spending time together's a good idea." she said smiling. She leaned against him, letting her shoulder bump against his.
He looked her over again, thinking she was the perfect mixture of sexuality and innocence, full of curvy, beautiful life. "I never really believed in that fate stuff... but considering I wasn't even plannin' on stopping here... makes you wonder, right?"
She looked back over at him. "I have always believed in fate... I guess it kinda comes with the territory though." she said shrugging. Being a fae kinda lead to an ultimate plan for one's life.
"The territory?" He asked, blinking in a slightly confused manner. Hey... he was a handsome guy, and fairly sweet... but a brain surgeon? Hardly.
She bit her bottom lip. "um... Yeah..." she pursed her lips. This is where she always lost them. She was nervous about telling him that she was a fae. "Um... I'm... well um..." she shifted in her seat on the sand. "I'm not a normal girl?"
He raised a brow, yet remarkably didn't seem to look all too concerned about it. "Well... I'm not exactly normal myself... tell me your little secret, and I'll tell you mine..."
She looked over at him. "Oh... you're not normal?" she said as she felt a little less completely awkward, but she was still nervous that she was going to freak him out completely. "I'm a water faerie... well half... and half.. sidhe fae." she said as she looked out at the water. It would make sense that she liked water being a water faerie
"Wow... um... seriously?" He asked, shaking his head, not meaning it to sound the way it likely did. "All I mean is... you wouldn't just try to see how gullible I am, right? I mean, I didn't even know anything like that existed..." Hell, he only believed something like that COULD exist because of his own strange abilities.
She quickly looked away whenever he seemed to not believe her. She sighed softly and stood up. "Nevermind..." she said as she shook her head and started back towards the direction of her house.
"No, no... wait! I believe you... I swear. It's just wild... I mean, I'm finding out all these new things I've never heard of exist... and people tend to like makin' a fool out of me sometime." He admitted, knowing he wasn't exactly brilliant.
She stopped whenever he asked her to wait. She shrugged as she looked at him. "I'm used to people not believing me, but I did warn you..." she said quietly. She walked over to the water and let her feet dip into the water. She swirled her finger in the air and the waves picked up, lapping at her ankles.
"Look... here's proof I believe you." He sighed, deciding to show her his OWN unique... ability. He reached down, grabbing a handful of sand, and concentrated.... as his body seemed to change color and texture, until he basically looked like a human-shaped sand sculpture in clothes.
She looked over at him as he changed, her eyes widened as she let her head cock to the side. "Oh... wow... can you just do that with sand, or other things as well... and if I touched you would you break apart like sand or stay together?"
He let himself shift back to 'normal' as he let the sand fall from his hand. "I can do it with any material I touch. And... I don't know the limits of what I can do with it. I'm afraid of breaking apart and... not being able to pull myself back together."
She nodded her head as she looked at him. "That's why I didn't touch you. I kinda like you how you are..." she admitted. She looked down at her feet.
"Thanks..." He laughed nervously, kind of impressed that she reacted as well to it as she did. "I'm a lot less scared when I use metal than when I use sand, or water, or paper..."
She nodded her head as she looked up at him. "I don't blame you. I try not to spend too much time away from the water." she said as she bit her bottom lip. "I get sick... so I can understand."
"Are you..." He thought of how to word his question, "Are you here to stay? Or do you live in the water? I guess... I guess I'm asking if I'll see you often."
She smiled. "Yes, I'm here to stay... I've lived here all... well almost all of my life. I just have to take a dip at least once a week." she said shrugging. "So yes, you'll be seeing me... if you wanna."
"I'd love to get to know you better, Solana. You're... really interesting. You're something I didn't even know existed, and you're also one of the hottest girls I've ever met." Again, he wasn't exactly gifted with words here, so...
She felt her cheeks flush again before stepping forward and pressing a soft kiss against his lips. "Relax... You'll get the chance to get to know me."
