Last Entry for Kim and Courtney Over Here
Who: Kim and Courtney
Where: Brandon and Catherine's Apartment
When: August 16, Evening
"This is such a trivial, laborious task, Kimberly..." Courtney murmured in that creepy monotone, trying to force one of Kim's suitcases shut. What the hell did the girl OWN??? "If we simply used our powers to our fullest, we'd have devoted minions who would do this work."
"Or we could just set them all on fire and buy new stuff in Vegas," Kim suggested. She wasn't exactly enjoying packing, either. "We'll have to wait for minions until we get to Vegas at least, though."
"I'm rather... perturbed that we're leaving before I even got a chance to speak with Bastian again. We will have to make sure we see her when she visits Blake." Courtney said with the closest thing she had to a whine. Bastian understood her, which made her... oddly bonded to the little witch. Kim adored Courtney and made excuses for every dark or wicked thing she said or did... but Bastian UNDERSTOOD her.
"You can always come back and visit her, too," Kim pointed out. "It's not like we're moving across the country or anything." She pushed her suitcase shut and finally managed to clasp it shut. "Or she can come up there, like you said."
"I suppose. I merely don't believe in pursuing someone. If someone wishes to spend time in my presence... they know how to locate me." Oh. My. God. And Courtney wonders why people find her so creepy and strange???
"Not everyone is as forward as I am, Court," Kim pointed out to her. "Not everyone is the type to just pick up the phone or go to your house, drag you out, and make you socialize." OK, that was what Kim liked to do with everyone, though.
"Very true. But then, other than you, Bastian, and occasionally Meredith... I really don't CARE to see anyone else." Wow. Courtney was certainly the life of the party, eh?
Kim shrugged. "Then don't worry about doing much socializing. Me, Bastian, and Meredith will call you and hang out with you on our own."
"Not you." Courtney said suddenly, actually moving to (unbelievably) cling tightly to the pink-haired girl. "I would never simply... wait for you to come to me."
Kim hugged her back. "Of course not," she said to her with a smile. "I wouldn't expect you to do so."
"You belong to me." Courtney said in that robotic manner, which made it hard to tell if it was meant sweetly, or in a more sinister, possessive way. "Only me."
Kim just snorted. "Like I'd want anyone else. You're stuck with me, my hot little warlock. Just get used to it."
"I certainly hope so." She said, eyes growing dark red, as she inadvertently acted, well, like her father here. "Because if anything, even death itself, ever takes you from me... the world itself will suffer."
Kim just snuggled against her, seemingly unaware of the scary eyes. "I'll try to avoid some of the death stuff for the sake of the world then."
"You'd better." There was no humor, nor teasing in her voice, as though there ever WAS, really. "You've become the very air I breath, I'm afraid. Loathe I am to admit it..." she grumbled, as if admitting some dark, embarrassing secret. "I fear I'm completely, undeniably in love."
"God, you're so freaked out that you actually fell in love with someone, aren't you?" Kim asked, chuckling. She loved to tease Courtney about how she reacted to this stuff. Plus, she adored the way that Courtney spoke.
"I do not enjoy allow myself the luxury of emotion, Kimberly." She said, as usual unamused by the playful mocking... yet willing to put up with it due to who was doing it. "As you have known for many a year."
Kim smiled at her. "And yet you have all sorts of emotions when it comes to me," she said. "It's OK to have emotions, you know. Sure, you can keep it to a few select people, but it's kind of what makes you human." "
"And thus is the crux of my problem. I despise being human. Humanity is frail. Weak. I strive to be powerful. A force that nothing can destroy." Oh dear. This? Wasn't good. Deep down... she was not unlike Ash was back in Sunnydale...
"So...would you rather *not* be with me then?" OK, even though Kim played it cocky, but Courtney saying time and time again that she didn't like having emotions and she didn't like feeling weak WAS going to get to her, after all.
"I cannot control my heart, Kimberly. And my heart wants you so badly it makes me cry occasionally." Oh lord. Yes... that was Courtney's sweet way of saying she was so in love that she cried over it sometime.
Kim reached over and hugged her. "I love you, too, Court," she told her. "I'll always love you. I'm pretty sure I loved you even when you were putting me on the ceiling because I took your Barbie Doll."
"I cannot quite determine WHY you love me, Kimberly..." She said with that blank, dark stare she so frequently had, "I am merely glad that you do."
Kim smiled. "I don't think I exactly had a choice in the matter, either," she said with a slight shrug. "Let's just both be glad that we have each other and leave it at that."
"Hm. Well, there is also how ridiculously sexy I find you." Oh god. Courtney trying to flirt could be so hilariously tragic. "Your body is truly... awe-inspiring to me."
And yet Kim fucking loved it. "You're pretty damn awe inspiring yourself," she said to Courtney. She slipped an arm around Courtney's waist and rested her chin on her shoulder.
"I will never understand why you find me so appealing, Kimberly. I merely find myself thankful that is the case." Jeez, Courts. Really?
