LISSA NEEDS A TAG PLEASE!!!
WHO: Lissa and Ash Marrok
WHEN: Monday Feb 22
WHERE: High School
ASH: Ash could hear the noises of the school from where he was sitting about half a block down. First bell was still a little ways from ringing but he could hear announcements being made, muffled even by this short of a distance. He always stopped right around here before getting to school to have a last cigarette before he would have to go without the entire day and he stopped this distance away so that the smoke smell would be mostly gone by the time he got there.
He sat now, dressed in his usual jeans, t-shirt and hoodie. Jacket sleeves were pushed up and showing the tattoos scattered over his arms, hood lifted over his dark hair. His skateboard was under his feet and he was rolling it slowly back and forth while he watched the world go by.
LISSA: Lissa had the same idea in mind, only she was staying in her car where it was nice and warm. She pulled over to the curb, leaving her car running and rolled her window down. She lit up and sat there, doing a last minute primp check in the mirror on her sun guard. She checked the time on the clock on her radio. Good, she had a few. Otherwise she would have walked in late. There was no way she wasn’t getting her cigarette in, even though she’d be having another in the bathrooms in between classes. This was her first day at this school, but if it was like any other one she’d went to, well it would be very easy to not get caught. Seeing a guy sitting on the sidewalk, she smiled to herself. He was kinda cute. “Hey, you!” she called to him to get his attention.
ASH: Bright blue eyes turned in the direction of the shout, but he was actually surprised to find the person was talking to him and not someone else on the street. He pushed his bangs out of his face so he could see better and then pulled the cigarette from his mouth to release a breath of smoke. "Yeah?" He asked, brows lifted in question.
LISSA: Lissa leaned further out the window a bit so he could hear her words over the few cars driving by, students probably actually worried about getting to class on time. “Freezing much?” she asked, raising an eyebrow. “Want somewhere else to sit and smoke that’s warmer and you can actually…sit?” she asked. If he said no, that was fine too, either way didn’t matter to her. But it couldn’t help to try and make a friend before she had to enter the dreaded building of doom, also known as high school. Besides, guy with a skateboard, hello?
ASH: He had to chuckle a little, glancing up and down the street for a second while he tried to decide what he wanted to do. He wasn't actually all that cold, being a werewolf meant his body ran hotter than a normal human's. The cold felt good, but...this did seem like an interesting proposition. So he stood up, dangling his skateboard from one hand while he walked over to her driver side window. "Creeper much?" He asked back at her, a playful grin on his face. He leaned down at the window, glancing around the interior of the car. "Nice wheels." He commented.
LISSA: “Oh very much a creeper.” She pulled her hood down and the neck of her hoodie up to show just her eyes. “Here, now I think my creeper-status is much easier known.” She said with a giggle and then fixed her hoodie back to how it should be. “Oh my god, I love this car.” She gushed when he complimented it. “Got it brand new about three months ago.” She hit the automatic lock button to unlock the passengers side door. “Hop in.”
ASH: He debated for just a second longer before figuring what the hell. So he walked around to slide into the passenger side door, skateboard at his feet. He shut the door behind him and then slid the window down so he could hang his cigarette out of it after taking another puff. "Thanks." He said to her, dropping his own hood down from his dark hair. "You go to the school down the way?"
LISSA: Lissa turned the heater down slightly so they could hear each other better. Then she gave a nod. “The highschool, yep. As of today, that is.” She sighed. “My first day at a new school for only the fiftieth time!” she said with mock enthusiasm. Of course she was exaggerating, but she had been to a lot of schools. “I’m a junior this year.” She glanced down at his board. “What company is your deck from?” Oh yeah, Lissa knew some skater lingo.
ASH: "Oh yeah?" He asked, watching her with interest now. "I just transfered in here a couple weeks ago. Junior also." He smiled and then turned his eyes down to his board when she asked about it. "It's not really a specific company. Someone in the pa- er...a cousin of mine made the deck himself." He'd almost told her someone in the 'pack' had made it, that would have been hard to explain... "Then my uncle did the design. He's a tattoo artist. I just bought the rest of the hardware at some cheap place here."
LISSA: “Your uncle does ink, huh? Let me see.” She asked and held her hand out for his board. “I don’t have any tattoos yet, but I do have this.” She stuck out her tounge to show off her piercing. She changed them almost daily, she had the ones with different sayings on them. Today’s had a black backgraound with a picture of a playboy bunny in white. “I always wanted a tattoo, just don’t know what I’d want on me that would be there forever, ya know.” She took another drag from her cigarette. “So what’s this school like? Is it one of those clique schools where the jocks can only date the cheerleaders or what?” If so, she’d have to shake it up. That’s what she did.
ASH: "From what I can tell, yeah." He laughed, "Cheerleaders date the jocks, jocks bully the nerds, I bully the jocks...I'm pretty sure high school is the same everywhere you go." He handed her his board when she asked to see it, eyeing the piercing and then turning his head to show her his. His left ear was stretched up to a 5/8 gauge, a plain black silicone tunnel currently in place. The right ear wasn't even pierced. "This is all I have." He pointed up at his ear.
LISSA: “You do, huh? I think we’ll get along just famously then.” Even though most of the jock types did chase her, they weren’t really the kind of person she went for. She took his board from him and looked it over. “It’s nice, whoever did it has some skill.” Lissa looked at his piercing. “Did it hurt to gauge it that big? I mean everyone is different, some say yes, some say no, did it hurt for you?” It looked good on him though. She handed his board back to him and flounced back in her seat. “If it was up to me, I’d totally skip today and find something to do in this town.” Although that would mean yet another phone call to her father, as if he hadn’t received enough about her already. Still, it was tempting.
ASH: He shrugged, taking his board back. "I have a pretty high pain tolerance." He explained, "I'm probably a bad person to ask." Being werewolf really did have it's advantages in most things, Ash thought. High pain tolerance, extra strength, better dexterity, strengthened sense of smell... Ash liked to think of himself as a sort of super hero. Or maybe super villain would be better considering he'd mauled a few things in his lifetime. Not everything about his condition was perks. "Skip if you want." He chuckled, "But if I skip my brother will hand me my ass."
LISSA: “And daddy would take my keys again.” Not that it ever lasted longer than a few hours, but still not something she wanted to have to deal with. Besides, it made her ‘step mother’ get that smug look of ha you got disciplined and she hated it. And her. She pulled out her schedule from her back pocket of her jeans. “Got any of these classes?” she asked, handing it to him. One or two would be great so she could at least have some one to cut up with to ease the boredom.
ASH: He gave her a sideways look at the 'daddy' comment. Realizing more so that she was definitely one of those spoiled girls. At least she seemed like a cool spoiled girl and not one of those snobby spoiled girls. Glancing down at the schedule he searched for any familiar classes and finally nodded when he spotted one. "Yeah, 4th period history and lunch hour." He said with a smile, handing her back the paper schedule.
LISSA: She was very spoiled, alright. There was no denying it or trying to hide it. “Oh, great.” She said with a smile and slipped it back into the pocket of her jeans. “Would you mind if I sat with you and your friends at lunch? At least today until I get to know some people?” Just in case he wouldn’t want her there more than one day, if he would even give her that.
ASH: He nodded and smiled wide, "Yeah sure. I don't really have a specific place I sit during lunch, I just sort of sit with whoever I find first, but you're welcome to join." He took the last drag of his cigarette before the light hit the filter and the flicked the butt out of the car window, taking his time in releasing the smoke.
LISSA: Lissa nodded. “I’ll just have to track you down or something. Save me a seat?” she asked, giving him a smile. She looked at the clock. “Ugh, it’s about that time, isn’t it?” She glared at the clock as if it were its fault she had to suffer through school that day. Lissa tossed the car into drive and slipped her finished cigarette out the window and started driving those last few seconds to the school parking lot.
ASH: Ash went along for the ride, watching out the window as they got closer. "I usually sit in the grass at lunch." He told her, "I get too shut in in the cafeteria sometimes. With all the people and the noise and the smells." He wrinkled his nose a little, not aware that mentioning the smell may have been a strange thing to do.
LISSA: “It’s kind of cold for that, but whatever.” She’d go sit outside with him. He was cute enough to bear the cold to sit with, that and she didn’t want to be alone either. “Besides, cafeteria food always makes it smell bad in there.” At least to her. “At least my last one did.” Hopefully this one had better food. “Too bad we can’t leave campus for lunch, I’d so get us some Mc Donald’s or something.”
ASH: "Oh it's not that cold." He grinned teasingly, "Get a better jacket." He shot her a playful look and then reached for the door handle to get out of the car when they were finally at the school. "And the only thing good at McDonalds is the fries. Sonic is where it's at."
LISSA: Lissa climbed out of the car after him. "They have aweome slushies that I can say about Sonic. Do we have one in this town?" If so, she was itting it after school. Hell, she'd invite Ash along while she was at it.
ASH: "Shit, I hope so." He muttered, fitting his skateboard under his arm and falling into step beside her. "If not I'm telling my brother to take me back to Montana." He laughed.
LISSA: "I hear that." She said with a laugh. "Well, I think I gotta head this way." She nodded towards a hallway once they were inside. "But I'll see you at lunch?"
ASH: "Yeah, totally." He nodded, "See ya." And started off toward his own locker, but then he paused after a few steps and turned back around to her. "Hey! What's your name?"
LISSA: Lissa turned when she heard him calling for her. "Oh, it's Lissa!" She called back. "What's yours or should I just call you 'hot skater dude'?"
ASH: Ash grinned, that did have a nice ring to it. "Ash!" He called back with a small wave of his hand and then turned again to go. First bell was about to ring.
