WHO: Scarlett and Jarrod
WHEN: Tuesday Jan 26
WHERE: Avarice
JARROD: As was normal for a Tuesday night, Avarice wasn't exactly packed wall-to-wall tonight. It was still fairly busy though, and Jarrod made his way through the crowd, clad in loose black jeans, a black, form-fitting Broken Sunrise t-shirt, and a thick silver chain around his neck. Smiling to a few people he knew from school, he walked towards the bar, quickly flashing the 'under-21' wristband he wore so that the tender would just automatically grab him a can of soda.
SCARLETT: Scarlett was perched at the bar, a glass in her hand. To any 'normal' preson, it probably looked pretty strange since she appeared to be all of sixteen. She was dressed in her green and black plaid skirt and a longsleeve black shirt, cut at intervals along the sleeves, showing off glimpses of her pale white skin. She had her boots on as well, she never took them off, they were her cover for only being five foot tall. Seeing someone approach out of the corner of her eye, Scarlett turned to see who it was...and then was glad she did.
JARROD: Whoa... Jarrod turned to walk away, and found himself looking at the gorgeous goth girl. The well-muscled teen flashed her a confident, but not cocky, grin, and nodded to her. There was something about her... she wasn't the typical type of girl he was attracted to, but DAMN... she was sexy as hell. "Hey..." he said, those eyes flashing a little. "You know, having that drink in your hand foils my plans of starting a casual conversation by asking if you'd like a drink."
SCARLETT: Scarlett gave him a smile back, hiding her fangs. "Yeah, well I doubt you'd be able to get me one anyway." She nodded towards the band on his arm. Scarlett noticed things ike that. If you didn't notice the subtleties you were likely to wind up dead in her world. "But then again, also saves on the wallet." She gave him a wink. He was young, obviously, but still gorgeous. "You can start with your name, though."
JARROD: "Jarrod. I'm a senior at Reagan High." Hey, he had no esteem issues, so why lie about his age, right? He smiled at her, offering his hand. "And now that you have my name.... do I get to know yours?"
SCARLETT: Oh lord. He was in highschool still. Good thing she was never known for her tact. "I suppousse, that's how it goes, right?" She joked. "My name's Scarlett." She said, giving his hand a shake
JARROD: He took a moment to give her a bit of a once-over. Great body, beautiful face... and for once? He actually found the piercings to be VERY attractive. "Scarlett. Very nice to meet you. You, um... here with anyone tonight?" Real stealthy there, Jarrod. He almost hung his head after hearing it come out.
SCARLETT: Well, if he liked the ones in her face, he'd love the corsett piercings she had done on her back. Scarlett laughed, annoyed at herself since it was still her 16-year-old giggle. "Actually, yeah. There's three of us. Me, myself, and I. We're a triple package deal."
JARROD: "Wow. That might be more than I can handle. Three girls that hot? Might make my heart explode." Well, being one of the most popular boys at school did have it's advantages. For one? He usually had SOME line to give, even if it was cheesy.
SCARLETT: Well, he did have semi-cheesy lines, but they worked for him. "Yeah well, I can always ditch two of them." She laughed again. "I'm sure they'd appreciate the break."
JARROD: Damn, her skin was cold... either the cooling system was bad in here or she had real circulation issues. "Wow... not even trying to sound smooth or anything... but your eyes are amazing."
SCARLETT: Or it could be because she was dead. But most people didn't have that kind of thought. Scarlett smiled again, her eyes were her favorite part of her, her piercings rated second. "You just lay the compliments on, huh?" she asked.
JARROD: "Only when I mean them." He answered honestly. Damn... between Faith, Kat, and Clarity, and now this girl? Seemed he had more girls than ever flirting with him. He briefly mused that he wished he started working out EARLIER. "So... Um... Want to dance or anything?"
SCARLETT: When he meant them? Ha, she was sure he used that with every other girl, not that she would complain about hearing it. Hmm, did she wanna dance? She thought about it, licking her lips absently. Scarlett gave a nod, finally. "Sure." She downed the rest of her drink and then hopped down off of her barstool.
JARROD: He offered a hand to the pale beauty as he started to lead her to the dance floor where, ironically enough, the dj was playing Rob Zombie's "Living Dead Girl". He looked at her with a gaze that held both sweetness and mischief. "Shall we?"
SCARLETT: Scarlett took his hand and let him guide her to the floor, bobbing to the music on the way. Once on the floor, she began to dance, her body moving fluidly to the music. "So how often do you come here?" This was her first time at Avarice, and if he frequented, she would definately make it a point to come back.
JARROD: "I try to hang here here at least once a week... Depends how much free time I have. You?" He wished he had more time to just chill, hang with friends, but between school and his training, his spare time was virtually nil.
SCARLETT: Well, she really didn't have a reason to lie to him. After all, he was a complete stranger and she highly doubted he was going to try and track her down. "First time. Cool place, though."
JARROD: He started to dance along with her, and felt his eyebrows raise when he put an arm around her and felt the ribbon threaded through her flesh. He found it... oddly erotic, actually. "Damn... You are REALLY sexy..."
SCARLETT: Scarlett laughed. She did everytime she got that reaction, which was usually whenever someone discovered her corset piercings. Besides, it was cute when Jarrod did it. "Well, you're not so bad yourself." Scarlett purred back to him.
JARROD: "Do you live around here?" He asked, pulling her a little closer as they swayed to the beat of the music. "I don't think I've ever seen you around before..."
SCARLETT: "Yeah, you could say....I'm new in town." Which was true, she had been there since the night before. After being chased out of the last city she lived in. Ellie's fault entirely. The girl wasn't always the brightest. Scarlett pressed her body againt Jarrod's now as she danced. "I'm sure before too long I'll blend in with everyone else." Or so she could hope.
JARROD: "Are you kidding?" He asked breathlessly, trying to hide how bad she was revving his engine. "I don't think you could blend in if you tried." He meant it as a compliment, of course. She was like nothing he'd ever seen.
SCARLETT: Scarlett smirked. "Trust me, I'm much better at blending than you think." Standing out would not be a good thing being in town such a short time. "So, be honest. How many girls do you do this to? A new one each time?" She was teasing, of course, but his answer might be interesting.
JARROD: "Hell, I won't say I don't flirt with a lot of girls, but gimme some credit..." He laughed, a twinkle in his eyes. "I never use recycled lines. So... I have to ask." He trailed his fingers up her back. "Did it hurt?"
SCARLETT: "Oh, so I get brand new ones, then?" she asked with a smile. Not that she believed him fully. A little shiver coursed through her as his fingertips slid up her back. "I could think of worse pains." Besides, they were worth all of it when a guy like him appreciated them.
JARROD: He felt that shiver, and grinned as he moved slightly to take a small chance and kiss the nape of her neck. Her skin really WAS cool. Somehow... he liked it. "Never kissed a girl with a lip ring before, ya know..."
SCARLETT: "Well, then let me be the first." Scarlett purred back at him, her lips close to his ear. She tilted her head and pressed her lips to his, taking in the warmth coming off of him.
JARROD: Those cold lips, accented by the steel hoops, just made him groan, probably louder than he'd intended. Thank god for the loud music. "Wow..." He said with a lazy smile, arms still around her. "That... was really nice."
SCARLETT: Scarlett smiled again, this time forgetting to hide her fangs in her happy little state. "It was...nice, yes." She wasn't exactly used to going around and kissing humans, but she liked it. With him she liked it.
