She's my little donkey.
"I think a mule is what you get from a horse and a donkey mating." The look on her face as she thought about that was perfect. We stopped by Sol's room and knocked but there wasn't any answer. Maybe she'd gone out? Or she was in her tub with her ipod blasting. Xander wasn't around either, which was ok too. He'd know what we'd been up to the second he saw Buffy. Which would probably be really funny.
"He's probably out with Cordy?" Walking through the lobby I checked for notes on the desk but didn't find any. "We could call them when we get there? Or maybe just get them a surprise." I scribbled a note saying we were going shopping and left it on the front desk. Just in case anyone was looking for us.
Walking outside through the courtyard I could smell the jasmine flowering before we got to the sidewalk. Our hands bumped together and I felt her hold my fingers. It was nice and I swung my hand a little as we walked. "An-anything special we need to get today? More mildew remover?"
Hid a smile from her as we walked, the mall was on the other side of a highway, just like Xander promised. It was really good to get out of the hotel. Even if I was still trying to believe we'd actually gotten together, without the world ending or anything. And I wasn't ever going to say that out loud.
