“That’s terrible,” she sighed. “I know what it’s like to lose a parent but both at the same time, along with your fiancée.” Jilleen shook her head, “it can’t compare. So sorry.” She tapped the side of his arm out of kindness. She did not know why she brought up such a morbid question. Perhaps it was the creeping dark mood she was feeling with the possibility of her marriage nearing an end.
Near the bar again, she tapped her glass to show the bartender that she wanted another, and returned to Tra. “Looks like she’s leaving,” she watched as the Commander of the Pegasus walked toward the exit with her aide.
