At the mention of her husband, she froze for a second, and wondered if Tra heard something. “I don’t know what you mean.” Her eyes then narrowed. “What gives you the idea that I give a frak about you? Huh?” The last thing she wanted to do right now was give anyone the impression that she was available. “Do you really think that pilot jock crap works? See these wings?” she pointed to her pilot wings on her leather sash. “You don’t fool me. We both know it was pure luck that your fighter didn’t crash into anybody on the ground. What do civilians know about flying a viper?”
A beat later, “He is doing fine.” She said of her husband. The truth was she did not know.
