"Luck." She said the word with a rueful little smile, eyes lowered to watch her finger run a lazy circle around the rim of the glass. Finally she sighed, pulling herself from grim thoughts best left buried and took a drink.
"If you like. I prefer to think that the wind blew me. I don't stay in one place too long." For a multitude of reasons, most of which she was just starting to understand. But this was about forgetting, not dwelling, and Lexi gave Cecilia another smile, though this one wasn't as bright. "Someday, I'm sure the wind will blow again and I'll see what's in store next. For now, it's a nice enough town." A pause and Lexi's smile turned a bit sharper, a bit more intent on Cecilia. "I can't complain of the company I've found, that much is for certain."
