OPEN TO ALL: Think back on all the tales that you remember of Camelot
Directionless-ness has become completely alien now, since the whole 'By the way, Merlin's in your head' thing. It seems she always has a plan, a goal, and can see the steps between now and there clearly enough to know what she's doing. Or, well, seemed. This morning's a bit different.
It should be simple enough: track down the people on the list, sort those who will be useful from those who won't, follow up any new leads. Bring the right people – and only the right ones – to Arthur.
Unfortunately there's an extra layer of complication added by the fact that she's avoiding Nathan, for obvious reasons. Because where does one even begin?
Wandering aimlessly will serve well enough for now (if 'aimlessly' be expanded to include 'nowhere near Of the Lake, or Habitat). So she wanders, Arthur's list in hand, as if by simply squeezing it into submission she can force it to give up its secrets. It's obvious she's concentrating on, and becoming frustrated by, something.
She doesn't want to bother Arthur any more except that she really, really does, and can't shake the feeling that she should be keeping an eye on him, that there's a piece there whose moves she can't anticipate who might well prove, to mix metaphors, the spanner in the works but she's beginning to realise the enormity of the task she's been set. Nathan's words echo, both teasingly and like a stinging back slap - maybe the entire course of history does not have to rest firmly on your shoulders, and yours alone?
If not hers, though, then whose?
OOC: Drop-in sessions with the newly-illuminated Merlin, even if she is just a tad distracted and off-form. Get 'em while they're hot. She's anywhere you need her to be, except obviously at Of The Lake.
