"Yes, well - just, yes," he said with a color to his cheeks. He had told her about that before, and she did seem alright with it. It was just a fun fling, and it had really helped him get his head back. "It did help me with the quidditch workouts too. It made them much easier."
He continued to eat, hoping she would too. "You know, even when I was training as an auror, I wasn't really hungry, but I wasn't really happy. Now, it's a lot different."
He looked up and tipped his head, not really sure what she was thinking. "The point is that you have you. A lot of people tried to tell me that. I was trying to make Lori happy and twisting myself into a pretzel over it. I was trying to do too many things. Having this time made me realize that I needed to do something for myself that I enjoyed. You need to get better for you, no one else - except maybe me." He laughed, teasing her gently with the last bit. "It doesn't seem like much now, but looking back, I understand it."
