Re: Marcus and Kat
Katherine looked and felt amazing tonight. She'd found her house and turned it into everything she wanted. It was pure perfection all in clean lines and black and white. Not what she had expected, but much better.
Just as much perfection was her new outfit. In a silver fur cloak over black cashmere robes she looked spectacular. More so she was walking with her head held higher than in a long time. Over the last few weeks she'd been studying everything she needed to know to handle her fund, and while there was still so much more to learn, she felt she was getting her bearing. Soon it would be time to bring more people in, but tonight she was simply going to enjoy herself the way she always had on this day.
With a sparkling glass of champagne in her gloved clad hand, she mingled through the crowd with a smile on her face, stopping as she saw a rather dashing man with a smirk on his face. It took a while before she could properly place him. The Mr Flint in her mind was her father's age, not young and handsome - though she had to say she preferred this version of him better.
She smiled as he walked closer. "Hello," she greeted him, inclining her head a bit as she did so. "Mr Flint, if I'm not mistaken? It's a pleasure to meet you." Again, in a way, and yet not. Speaking to returnees was undoubtedly rather odd.
