Progress. Progress was good. Bryn was happy for her. At least she had been able to focus on herself like she wanted. He felt strange, sitting there talking to her. It was like meeting her for the first time all over again. He'd come to realise over their time apart that they really didn't know each other. Everything between them had happened too fast. It was probably mostly his fault. He was scared of women after his run in with Natasha, but Rose made him feel safe and he'd hung on to that. Perhaps wrongly so.
'I miss you too.' He replied, it was true, he did miss her. But he missed the old Rose the most. As she mentioned skating he frowned slightly. 'I'm not sure. Things could get busy pretty quickly if we impress the right people tonight.' He took another sip of his drink. 'I don't want you to rush yourself. But maybe some time.'
He glanced round the room briefly, wondering how to phrase his next question. In the end he found the most straightforward to be the best. 'Rose, have you told anyone we're separated? Only I got invited to your Uncle Charlie's birthday. The funeral and housewarming too.' He finished his drink. 'I didn't go to either because I was respecting your decision to move out, to be away from me to focus on yourself. Its a little awkward knowing I'm essentially blanking your family without them knowing the reason.'
