Re: Hannah & Neville
Neville had listened intently and in this moment, he missed Harry now more than ever. He still hadn't made his peace regarding Lily and wasn't sure he ever would, but that was something to worry about after, if there was an after.
He was tempted to say 'wanna bet' but knew that was unkind and not like him, lately his thoughts, if not his words and actions had become more cynical, and he didn't seem to be able to stop it. When this was over, if he survived as he had the last time, he might have to talk to someone about it, until then it was best to deal with practical matters. "I know" He knew how she felt, but he also knew telling her that or making platitudes would only make matters worse. "But we knew before we came here that this was possible, when we joined the order, and before." He didn't like to think of Sam brought up by anyone but him, but his guardians would be more understanding of a child than Gran had been. "The reality is, and I hate to say this, is that if we are a man down we could lose. I dont' want Sammy brought up in a world that madman rules, can you imagine his life? Prison or worse? We need everyone to fight to make sure he can grow up the way we want him to, with or without us."
