"Well, I don't that she was, at least not publicly," Ben said, shaking out the rag he was using to wipe down the counter. He liked to keep things shiny and clean, at least as far as the bar went. "I just happened to think it looked like she could use some help, and after proving myself I was hired." He shrugged. "Worked out good for both of us I think."
He threw his head back and laughed at her response. "Well, maybe we should wait until I'm not being paid," he teased. "Wouldn't want to get into trouble on my first day."
He grinned, and showed Min just how well he was settling in, sending the order back to the House Elf who handled the cooking. "One Butterbeer then," he said, snagging a cold bottle and sliding it across to her. "So still liking working for Ollivander then?"
