Re: Harry/Ron
Ron actually preferred the not talking, it was easier. He was never any good at these sort of things - it was better that he stay quiet, let others do the talking. Jamie had said more than enough. He hadn't even really noticed when they were finally alone, so lost in his thoughts, but he nodded.
"It didn't seem so big last time." And maybe that had been because they were young, because they didn't have families, because they didn't really know what they were going up against. They were just trying to figure out the clues Dumbledore had left for them, Ron had no idea when they first set out just what they were really getting themselves into - just that he'd be there for Harry as long as he could.
"Seems like it would be easier to do it like that." He agreed, there was still a sense that if they just left it would be okay, their families would be spared - though that hadn't been the case the time before. They weren't even the ones this was truly about anymore, and that's what left Ron feeling lost in all of this.
Last time it had been Harry, him and Hermione promised to follow Harry as long as they could - but now? Now it was all of them, and Jamie, Severus, and Alastor were taking the lead. They were the ones who were making the decisions. And he and Harry? Well they just took orders. It didn't feel right, it left him feeling restless. The way he had before he'd left Harry and Hermione, like they were just running around in circles not accomplishing anything.
