Re: Dawn
Remus nodded. "Yes, I could tell he'd been around as well." He'd actually hoped the two would have been there at the same time. Better protection. He snorted as Regulus continued. "Alpha? Maybe of the Marauders on the full moon nights only, and that only because it took both Pads and Prongs to keep me in check when necessary." And, for all the scars on his back would attest to fights with other werewolves, Remus had avoided packs and the pack mentality that went with Alphas as much as he could. Joining in with his own scratchy laughter, he shook his head. "Poor Severus. Of course, he might not believe you for the simple fact that he doesn't agree with your perception of my goodness."
Once they were in his room, he sighed contentedly into the kiss. "That may be the real reason, you know. It's not that they like me, but that they like my son. He's the one that's been there for them the entire time."
Taking the jewellery, he put the ring back on immediately and set the others aside for after the bath. Then he looked sheepishly at his lover. "Sorry, still in combat ready mode, I suppose. It was...surreal...for me. Convenient, but surreal. I certainly didn't mind being closer to you, knowing you were there. But at the same time, I don't think I'd ever be able to relax knowing the students were also here and if anything went wrong..."
