Re: Dawn
"Can I? Usually, depending on how recent or often and how much bathing happens after." Remus chuckled softly, settling more comfortably against Regulus for the short ride from the Forest to the castle. "Living in a hormonal-teenager-filled castle is an olfactory experience, trust me. And it was worse when I was a hormonal teenager. The more familiar I am with one person's scent, the easier it is to notice when it's different for whatever reason. As for the others, some of them can, I'm sure. The ones who've been a werewolf longer and have gotten used to interpreting what all the sensory input is and means. Many of the others may not be sure what it is they sense. Takes a while to get used to all of that and be able to sort it out.
"I can also sense a person's scent in the air after they've left an area, which is how I know you were nearby last night, weren't you?" Remus had kept to his self-appointed patrol of the borders of the Forest. Though he hadn't seen Regulus, when he'd drawn near the tents, he could tell his lover had been there.
And, while he hadn't needed to hear an answer, he was more than pleased to hear the one he was given. "You still spoil me terribly," he said with a soft smile. "But, that sounds like a brilliant plan." As did leaving worries of the future for the future itself.
