"But is knowing their reasons enough to say no?" he asked. "I've been thinking about this, and neither Moody nor Severus are good enough to keep control. They might have some people trusting them, but by in large people won't do what they say, because they manage to say everything wrong. So if that happens, we face the destruction of the Order. The point is can the Aurors do the job the Order does?"
He sat up and turned to Sirius. "I'm not exactly the most loyal, but I've used the Order when the Aurors couldn't get there. The Order doesn't have to follow procedures and rules. The security leaks aren't there either. So I guess that the first question is whether to savage the Order or not. If we say yes, then do I want to get involved?"
James sighed. "They might want to use me, but if I say no who do they turn to? I mean as long as I'm there, I can make sure that everyone is all right, that they don't do something stupid that gets people killed. On the other hand, they might have to send people in situations that could lead to death. Do I want to be the one to send them there? To convince them that it's the best thing? Would they even listen to the twenty year old in the family? I don't know, Sirius. I keep thinking about all of this and I can't decide."
