Summary: After Sirius and Jamie's request, Emmeline needs some help sorting through things.
Emmeline had spent the night reading through the papers James and Sirius had given her, and a part of the afternoon finding out more. She had a basic understanding of the procedure and what it involved as well as an understanding of what the legal situation was, both in the Wizarding world (where there were no routines for this sort of thing) and the Muggle world. She'd weighed the pros and the cons, thought well and hard and logically on all of this. But for once in her life, Emmeline found that she wasn't able to rely solely on her logic.
No matter how much she tried to disregard it, even her logic dictated that she'd take feelings she might or might not experience if she did this into account. She'd never been good with feelings. She wasn't even good with feelings she was currently feeling - how was she expected to predict and account for feelings that had not yet come into existence?
Which was why she was finally abandoning the papers and notes and lists of pros and cons and walking over to Marly's door and knocking, because she needed to discuss this with someone who did understand feelings - and who understood her - who could possibly help her predict her own reactions to this. She didn't even wait for Marly to open, but pushed open the door immediately. "Marly, do you have time? I have a very important decision to make and I could benefit from your input."
