"Mate, you are so whipped," he said laughing. "You're lucky Sirius isn't here or you'd never hear the end of it."
James snorted. "They were pretty fucked up times. I keep hearing how we are unprepared, don't know about magic, aren't paranoid enough, blah blah blah, but maybe we are all slighted sane and that's why these Death Eaters ha to come from the past. We also enjoy life more, we understand people more than the need to hurt and conquer the world. We might not be good wizards, but we are better men."
James laughed. "The first thing I taught Sirius is that I'm always right. You can learn too and make your life easier." He shrugged. "It's different. We are too crazy to be with anyone else. We work together and we knew it immediately. Neither of us is going to put a vague sense of responsibilities before what we want." He hummed for a moment. "He's a Slytherin. Make him a deal. You won't oppose any decision he makes; he won't mention marriage and children for two years. Two years are a long time and a lot of things can happen, like him realising that there are other ways of life that are still respectful of his family history."
James shook his head. "You weren't making history. No one knew what you were and now, I hate to break it to you, no one cares except the people who came from your time. You want this badly enough, then do something. Speak with Nott, see who can come up with spells, give him a magical way. If that doesn't work, he can still get someone pregnant and have her relinquish parental rights." He grinned. " I married the once Black Heir. You would be marrying tha head of the Black family which is sort of weird since when I see him, I keep thinking that we should go drinking together."
James sighed. "I know that, but time will convince him better than anyone can and possibly Sirius and I will have taken care of the legalities by then."
