Summary: Ginny goes about doing things her way (i.e. the right way).
Ginny hadn't wanted to broach the subject with Al so quickly but after Harry had been stupid and had brought up the topic of Al with Snape she knew she had to speak to her younger son quickly. The last thing she wanted was Al not thinking they wanted his opinion as Ginny had always wanted to speak to him first. She cared far more about Al than she did about Snape and, as far as she was concerned, Snape would be easy to deal with. She didn't see why her husband and him had even had such a long conversation.
With the events of the past few days, however, Ginny had not felt mentally ready for the conversation she knew they had to have. Her mother's obvious grief coupled with her own numbness at losing her father had affected Ginny and although she wanted to do nothing more than cry, the tears wouldn't come yet. It frustrated her no end, especially considering the rest of her family seemed to be doing much better than her at mourning.
She had left Harry a note - he was presumably at breakfast with Remus - before flying to the boundaries of Hogwarts and dismounting, Apparating to Garden Court. Approving of the general state of things - really, Ginny thought this Allison had done wonders for the state of cleanliness in the house - she went to go and find Al.
Knocking on his bedroom door, she waited for him to answer. "Al? It's your mum, can I come in?"
