Summary: James and Sirius’ wedding/quidditch party
The clearing looked like an autumn picture card. Everywhere you looked there were flowers in red and orange and yellow. Even the platform that rose in the air to allow them to watch the game was decorated with flowers. As was the table of snacks and drinks on it.
Victoire had gone all out with the party, but in the honour of the grooms she’d elected to go with a Gryffindor colour palette rather than little hearts and romance (save for the wedding cake with the two grooms on top). Bill was rather glad that was the case.
He was absolutely starving. They’d been at it since ten in the morning, first choosing teams and then getting up in the air. His own team had been flattened by Jamie’s in their first match, something Bill put down to Oliver being a bloody fantastic keeper and barely letting anything past him (Though Ginny managed a few rather spectacular goals, he had to say). That Regulus had caught the snitch before Charlie he put down to pure luck because really Charlie was the best in his mind. Therefore it was rather satisfying to watch Harry catch the snitch before Regulus in the second game, winning them that match.
With the first two matches over, Victoire had held a toast for the grooms and now everyone was tucking into the food while walking around and talking to each other. It was turning out to be a rather fabulous day.
