RP: I'm bored
Who: Jamie, Sirius
Where: Malfoy manor
When: Afternoon, 11 November 2024
Rating/Warnings: NC-17
Summary: It's the middle of the day and Jamie

Jamie was feeling better, and unfortunately boredom was setting in. He was seriously tempted to get the hell out of this place already. He wondered if they would even let him, and more importantly how much screaming there would be afterwards. One emotional scne per year was more than enough, thank you very much, and he and his father had already done more than one. He was good with avoiding another one. Still he needed something to do.

He put his shoes on and went to Sirius' room. He knocked on the door and went inside at the enter. He was too bored for etiquette and lay down on the couch, putting his head on Sirius' lap, just like he would have done with Dylan or Craig. "I'm bored. I'm bored and they don't let me do anything. We need to find a way to sneak out of the house. Do you think Kreacher can help us?"

"Yeah?" he said with a frown. "And you spent those years in Azkaban. Really, how much maturing did you do in there? I think I like yo better like this that after spending another six or seven years in that place. Besides, I don't need a father figure. I have him already. I like you the way you are."

James laughed. "Fine, I have to stay alive to make sure you don't do anything stupid. Now, we just have to find a way to achieve that. Do you have a plan? Because that'd be real nice."

He looked at Sirius. "Well... I do trust you, and you're even less likely to tell than me, because you don't have to worry about the papers but your friends not talking to you. So if it came out, we'd both be screwed. There's nothing better than mutual self-interest to keep people quiet. That and vows, which I've had most of my girlfriends take." At least as soon as he smartened up.

"Apparently one can do quite a bit of mature in Azkaban." Sirius shrugged. "Enough for someone to consider me a father figure at least. I'll do my best to stay this way then."

Sirius grinned, glad at least James was playing along. "I'm working on a plan." he assured him. "Several in fact, you just keep taking it easy and steer clear of wayward bludgers and we'll have you back on your feet in no time."

He snorted. "Oh god, you do know this is a terrible, horrible, awful idea right?" He shook his head, not of course that was ever a reason for him not to do something - but they should both be on the same page. He couldn't help but laugh. "You made them take vows? Really?" Sirius could hardly believe that, of course he'd never had to deal with the obvious fame that surrounded the Potter family now.

"Or, he was a thirteen year old orphan," Jamie said, and then smiled. "I think it's because, because you can't ever be what you were back then. Dad had no one other than uncle Ron and aunt Hermione and then you. It's difficult to top that."

James snorted. "Like they'd let me play again. I sucked. I can't believe I played so badly. I supposed the non breathing should have been enough to stop me, but I really wanted to play with you and James. It was... it was nice even if I couldn't breathe."

He laughed. "My entire sex life is a terrible horrible awful idea, Sirius. Started at fourteen when a seventh year with the biggest pair of boobs decided that I should not be a virgin. Now that part was nice, her calling me Harry, not so nice, but then I was fourteen and scoring. I got over it pretty soon. I had girlfriends who really were hoping to meet Dad and then he would magically fall for them, girlfriends how were hoping to marry me," he said. "If I had to put up with all that bull, then they needed to take vows. I refused to be alone with any girl unless they took a vow. You can see how this- us isn't so crazy in comparison."

Sirius sighed and nodded, he still hated the idea of Harry being an orphan like that - having to live with Lily's family. "Yes, I don't even think that I'll be able to live up to that."

"Well you get well again and I'm sure they'll be happy to let you play again." He chuckled before rolling his eyes. "Yes you were pretty bad, you'll have to prove to Jamie and I that you really aren't as bad as all that." He teased, though even he had to admit even with being unable to breathe James had been good. "It was a good game, we would have won that second game if we'd gotten to finish it."

He couldn't help but snort when James told him about his sex life. "Yes I suppose this would be just another bad idea in a series." He teased. "No I suppose making them take a vow is probably a good idea - I'm glad I never had to deal with the sort of things you and Harry have." He wouldn't have been able to stand it, and he'd likely end up in the paper nearly every day. "Not sure how I feel about being a comparison to all of that though."

"You shouldn't have to," he said, knowing full well what it meant to try to live up to the reputation of dead men. James had been doing it since he'd learnt about his name sakes, always playing catch up to two myths and never measuring up.

"We should have won the first one if I didn't suck so much," he said darkly. "I shouldn't have screwed up your game, and I'm sorry. I really can play better, and I knew I wasn't playing well... I should of stopped instead of dragging you down with me."

James shrugged. "We're used to it, I suppose. I guess Dad never had to deal with the girl problem because of Mum, but I learnt to use vows pretty early. After a while, you learn to deal with the press." He had done it pretty quickly, and Lily would have to learn soon enough, but he couldn't think that far ahead. Instead he looked up and grinned. "You know for the brave Marauder, you're doing a lot of talking, like you're afraid of poor, old me."

"It's just strange, I know Harry expects me to be like I was then." He wanted to live up to the man he'd been - it should be that difficult, right? It was him after all, not someone else. And yet he didn't think he'd ever be that man.

Sirius rolled his eyes and smacked the back of James' head, not as hard as he might have with anyone else, but enough. "You don't have any of those marks back there do you?" He shook his head. "You were brilliant, even when you couldn't breathe and if you'd stop being an idiot you would know no one blames you for what happened this weekend."

"I guess you're right, you got to grow up with that." Sirius was just glad it wasn't something he'd had to deal with, of course he might have had fun dealing with press. Sirius shook his head and rolled his eyes, there was just only so much teasing a man could take and rather than responding he leaned in and fisted a hand in James' shirt tugging him closer and kissed him. Not anywhere near the sort of kiss he'd give to someone he was actually panning on sleeping with but enough to get his attention. "You tell me this is really what you want to do - that you're not just teasing me like we have been since the start of all this and I'll show you just how afraid of you I really am."
