"I'm pretty sure they were going to let you go anyway," Bailey grinned, plopping herself down on the couch. "I doubt they would have made you miss the feast."
She shook her head when Lucy offered her the treat. "No thanks, I'm fine. Katie and I were just up talking and reading our mum's latest letter. It's getting hard on both of us, not being able to be home like we'd like." She just shrugged and tried not to think about it. She liked staying here with her friend, but she did miss her family.
