Summary: Lucy has finished her essays ahead of time for once!
Lucy couldn't believe her eyes. Looking at her to do list for the week - essays set and due Friday, a quiz to study for in Charms coming up soon, notes to re-write for long term legibility - everything was crossed off. She'd been going mad with work - hardly able to concentrate, frustrated with herself for getting so behind before OWLs, overwhelmed with the desire to please her parents once more - on top of worry about Uncle Harry and James, a Dark Lord on the loose and her entire family being involved in the Ministry, but it all seemed to have paid off. She was finished for the rest of the week! Surely she'd want to go over her review for the quiz again the morning of, but otherwise, she had even checked over her work and it was only 10:30 at night on Wednesday! Maybe this would even be a good enough reason for her parents to actually let her go the newly announced Halloween Feast!
Standing and stretching as she put the last of her finished work away into their books, folders, and her book bag, she suddenly gave a little yelp of joy right there at the kitchen table and jumped up shortly. "Woo!" She shouted, keeping her celebration short in case anyone was trying to sleep.
Speaking to herself, she grinned and said, "This calls for a celebration," and she moved toward the icebox for some chocolate gelato she'd seen her father sneak before, and even a butterbeer.
Moving with her booty to the den, she snuggled down on a couch and reveled in the idea that she had absolutely nothing to do. Leaning her head back on the sofa she took a large spoonful of gelato and let it freeze her brain, so confident was she that she didn't need to use it for the rest of the night.
