Atlas put his quill down and smirked. Yeah, this would do nicely, and hopefully she would come. "Come here, boy," he called then, and smiled when Octavius came trotting into the room, tongue lolling out in a lazy smile. "What a vicious dog you turned out to be."
Atlas had bought the German Shepherd as a puppy with the intention of turning him into a guard dog, or someone for him to play with on the moon. While the dog served well as the latter, he was the worst guard dog ever. He would rather jump up and lick any intruder than attack them, but he was a good companion. "Shake," Atlas told him when he was sitting at his side, then took the raised paw.
He pressed the large dog's paw into a small dish of ink, then set the parchment on the ground and let Octavius step on it. He then drew his wand and cleaned the animal off before letting him run off to whatever he was doing before.
Making sure the ink was dry, Atlas rolled the parchment up, then went to the open window in the living room. His owl, Bartholomew, was sitting on his perch by the window, just taking in the events in the flat, and readily accepted the parchment when Atlas held it out. "You take this to Minerva Longbottom," he told the bird. "She doesn't have to reply, but don't you leave until she reads it, or no treats."
After he watched the bird fly off before turning back to his apartment to clean up, just in case she decided to stop by, the words he'd written on the parchment echoing through his head.
