It had been a slow week for Atlas, reading the papers and scoffing at the articles about the "tragedy" at Hogwarts. It was just some Gryff firstie, not even worth it. Rolling his eyes, he tossed the Prophet into a bin and continued down the Alley. He would have attacked Hogwarts himself on the full if he thought he could get away with it, but he wasn't that stupid. It would take a pack of wolves to penetrate the school, and a large pack at that. He couldn't do it by himself, which is where being on his own had it's downside. It could be fun, but wasn't exactly practical.
Thinking he might head down Knockturn and grab a pint at a seedy pub down the way, he set off walking a bit quicker, but something along the way made him stop. A scent. He froze in the middle of the way and raised his nose a bit, trying not to be too suspicious, but he knew that smell. It was sweet and spicy all at the same time. "Minerva," he said to himself with a smirk. Yes, he knew that smell, and he hadn't been able to shake the memory of that smell every since he met her in the Leaky.
He had to know where the smell was coming from. It was fresh, so she had to be near by. Feeling a bit like a bloodhound, he moved over to the edge of the Alley and began to follow the scent. He wanted to break out into a run as it got stronger, but he held himself back. He didn't want to seem to desparate, even to himself.
Eventually the scent nearly over powered him, becoming all he could think about, all that he could register around him. He was like the wolf stalking his prey, it's all he wanted and he wasn't going to stop until he found her. When it became so powerful he thought it might suffocate him, he stopped and looked around. He was standing right in front of the wand shop. Moving up to the window, he peeked inside. "Ahh," he said with a grin when he spotted her behind the counter, helping a customer. "Gotcha."
Atlas looked down at his watch before moving across the street to stand inbetween the buildings there. She would have to come out eventually, and he would be waiting. Forget the pint, he wanted her. So he would wait. He had time.
