Ben had stood in the living room for several minutes after Ronan left, still processing the fact that the basket had made the older man smile. To know that something so simple had affected him even that small bit was...really nice. And Ben really didn't want to examine why he was reacting so much to a simple smile. It was too ridiculous for words.
Finally he pulled himself together, mostly because Bob had come loping down the hall and headed to the door, looking at Ben expectantly. Realizing that the poor dog had been shut up for too long, Ben hooked on his leash and took him for a quick walk so he could stretch his legs and answer the call of nature.
He came back into the kitchen just in time to hear Dale's comment about medicinal orgasms, and grinned. "You two are talking about sex without me?" he teased, taking in the casual way they were touching each other. "Should I feel left out?"
