Ronan told the three men where they were going before Apparating there. He still didn't understand why they needed two people to get Dale back to the apartment, but he wouldn't argue as long as they left, and soon. He didn't need to look at his watch to feel the pull of the moon.
"Dawn, here. Now go." He could see that Ben had questions, but the other man pulled him away. Thank goodness for small favours.
"Get undressed," he told Dale. "I have a bag. We'll put everything there, and hang it on a branch to make sure the animals don't destroy it. When it's time to change back, we'll come back here... and before you ask, you'll know."
He started to take his clothes off, and when he had Dale's too, he climbed the tree with practice ease and tied the bag up there. Then there was nothing to do but wait. It didn't take long before the change was upon them. His spine felt like it was being snapped in two, every bone in his body was being broken and reshaped. The scream turned into an howl as the change reached its final stage.
The rest of the night was very different than his other transformations. Suddenly there was someone next to him, someone he needed to help. Most of his focus was on Dale and making sure that he didn't wonder off, or that he run after something until he found himself near people. It wasn't difficult, not when both of them were taking the potion, but it was still a strange experience.
As the moon set and a new day began, the change started again, a lot more painful this time. The human body was a lot less resilient than the wolf, but they couldn't afford to rest just yet. They were still in a forest with wild animals around and soon the Muggle authorities would start patrolling. They needed to leave and soon.
