Damned and heated
Date: March 2nd, 2013
Time: 10:16 pm
Location: Streets
Characters: Ross Richards, Zoryana Raqure
Description: Someone did something very badly, stolen cop car and one pissed off female in pursuit.
Status: Private, in progress.

It was supposed to be an easy night, something that came to Zoryana like a thorn in her side. Easy nights meant that there were things happening in town and frankly, Zoryana already had enough for her own dose. She had come to terms with the fact that things beyond her understand actually existed, that they were in the same clothing and that looked completely normal as the next person did. It was never meant to be like that. At least, not in her book. Then again, she was the cop who was housing a criminal, who slept with the same criminal and who even made breakfast and enjoyed the moments that they spent with one another.

Zoryana Raqure didn't get a say in what was normal anymore.

Officer Raqure, we have a report of a stolen officer car in your block, are you able to pursue. No later the words came over the radio to jar Zoryana out of the thoughts that she was having. She was still trying to forget the fact that she saw a woman cut herself, heal and then another few incidents happened in which she witnessed a few other things that normal never did cover. She blinked down towards the radio, taking her eyes off of the road for a moment as she canted her head. Why not, it wasn't like she had anything else to do. She was starting up the car again, inching towards the trash can before throwing out the brown bag in which she once had a sandwich, no thank to Ross who had always insisted that she ate while she was on the clock. She was trying to get used to eating, it wasn't something that she did while she was on the clock -- especially not within the patrol car, she always felt as if she would get something on the floor.

She turned over the lights, finally seeing in front of the car before she heard the roar of another car turning the corner. The lights were blazing to her, suddenly wanting to cover her eyes as she hoped that it would turn away from her -- and it had, thankfully. Though, Zoryana did get a quick glimpse of who was driving the stolen car. She wasn't going to wait another moment, Zoryana immediately pulled out, turning on the siren of the patrol car as she shook her head.

Ross Richards was dead, Zoryana decided as she continued to follow the car.

Ross had been counted on his mysterious ability to calm the shit out of Zory even when she was seeing nothing but red, and it seemed he was right. She just couldn't be angry around him, even if it was his fault for her anger. Besides, Ross was trying to be romantic here. Let's be honest, it was pretty obvious he wasn't very good at being romantic but he was at least trying. He wanted to spend time with her, do things with her. Their first time together - despite how much of a lie it was - they were unstoppable. They could walk into any restaurant and ownt he place. It killed him that he was hiding, now. He had been hiding. He still would have to hide. Would it be forever?

"Then why don't we? They don't know me here, Zory. Maine and California are worlds apart. I can hide here easily - I crossed the whole fucking country looking for you and didn't get in trouble once. I'm doin' what I can but I'm dying out here." He came closer to her, putting his hand on her face as she smelled the flower, commenting on how he was the only one to ever give her a rose. "That's a damn shame. Someone so beautiful should have roses every day." He said, bringing her face closer to his to give her a kiss.

He stepped back, brushing her face with his fingers as he did so and letting out a soft sigh. "I gotta change my identity. I gotta at least work, Zee. I can't sit around all day doin' nothing, trying to find work under the table. I don't know if you noticed but this quaint as fuck little town you picked isn't exactly crime central. Not a lot of pay-under-the-table jobs available here."
