May - talks, cocks, and Gildylocks (who rocks our socks)
(Thank you to Chels, Sabrina, Hannah, and Ashley for typing this up)
It was on a rather sour note that May began; in response to the suicide of Roman Selwyn, Rodolphus Lestrange holds a roll call for his fellow Death Eaters in an attempt to single out who among them was captured. Across the board, participants in the Diagon attack left in very different states of mind and body, be it doped on potions, horrendously abusing italics, or dealing with the mental ramifications of using an Unforgivable. Meanwhile, Severus angsts about Lily (again), Georgie starts researching the loudmouths within the Order, and Regulus begins thinking that maybe, just maybe he should not have let Roman get captured by the Ministry. He does not have to think on this very long before it is less a thought and more a fact as Rodolphus demands that the culprit come forward before he has to come over there. Post-Diagon is not completely tragic for Emmeline and Gideon, however, as they proceed to be absolutely shmoopy and darling as they recover from the event.
An Ashwinder found in Remus and Sirius's flat brings Severus out of the woodwork and Sirius and Remus fight. Again. Though not about Severus. Andromeda is talked into and out of her premature death meeting with Bella; fortunately, Sirius has the sense to loudly point out that his cousin is absolutely bonkers. Hell freezes over as Agnes O'Hare apologizes to Astra Avery (a small victory for the Pureblood elite), but her visions of grandeur, helping the inferiors with the reconstruction efforts, is quite swiftly quashed.
Edgar and Pepper interrogate Roman Selwyn in a rather questionable fashion, providing the locations of Death Eater safe houses. Torture is perhaps not the most legal method, but it is clearly effective, all the same. Unfortunately for Edgar and Pepper, the Death Eaters within the Ministry are displeased with this treachery and see to it that Roman pays for his crimes, staging his murder as a suicide.
Not all is dark and murderous, however; Riley writes a song in honour of Regulus (much to his dismay) - something that goes rather unappreciated, especially when Dolph subsequently gets his scary on yelling at the baby Death Eaters and spurring Barty and Regulus to make a pact to no longer react to the tauntings of those who might wish to torment them - a pact of which the propensity for success is questionable. The Order determines new names to add to the Order patrol, and Rufus and Millicent have a throw down, resulting in the forbiddance of information-sharing between the Auror and Hitwizard departments. Sensing the tension, Bill and Jo go on a magical adventure to investigate the safe houses that were named in the Selwyn interrogation
Even so, stress does not haunt everyone as these events unravel - Rooky is blessed with pot banana bread, courtesy of Agnes, and Gildy is quite oblivious (though when is he not?), seeking photo advice from his fellow journalers. After all, the question of which photo looks better is of the utmost importance. Carlotta is caught magicing Muggles. Unfortunately that is illegal, and she is arrested for a brief time, but her mostly harmless nature lands her a ride back to freedom once again. Down in the Department of Mysteries, however, Riley and Wen conduct an autopsy on Roman Selwyn.
Though he was pinned as a suspected Death Eater along with his comrades, Lucius's efforts and bribery come to fruition as the public learns of his merits…as well as Roman’s death and Arcturus’s Black's lengthened sentence. Rookwood leads a Muggle-killing rampage to gain bodies for his work with Inferi. What could possibly be more exciting than Inferi?
Back in the Order corner, Ted Tonks switches jobs to Werewolf Services, and due to a misunderstanding, Remus's furry little secret is revealed in an unfavourable fashion - whoops! Although anger and hurt rears its head, Remus receives a rather adorable apology as compensation. Peter finds himself doubting his place and motivations with his friends for not the first and not the last time. After emoing about the anonymous owl sent to him by Fenrir Greyback, he is significantly cheered by a positively adorable day with Marly at the fair. D'awwww. Unfortunately, all happiness must come to an end at some point. Not only are Pepper and Mill once again discuss vigilantes, but as per usual, the Death Eaters behave badly, murdering the families of Lily, Agnes, and Marlene.
The 18th started off with a bit of fun as Macnair recruitedBarty, Georgina, and Regulus to help him clear out a few safehouses, an even which soon had Barty complaining to Regulus about the pairs. Peter decided that Mundungus Fletcher was now a target for being a twat and Remus attempted to be produtive so close to the full moon. Marlene had a run in with Bellatrix and the two of them spent the time snarking at each other over various odds and ends. Fenir decided to take a gander at his new Army of Darkness, Mary had a few things to say to the order, as well as plan to meet for drinks with Riley and then she, James and Benjy talked about those safehouses for the Muggleborns. Later on Mary and Riley met for those drinks.
The 19th was spent fighting in the Order all starting with Edgars post. The previous ideas of obliviating Pepper because he was getting to close were put down by Edgar, even though he did offer some viable alternatives. Benjy agreed, Aberforth was on the fence, Mary knew how it felt and didn't want to try, James agreed and offered to help make some false memories, Sirus starts of being series before it descensed into some friendly snarking, Dung and Peter don't like the idea, Marlene has a lot of things to say and a suggestion about the patrol pairings, and Dorcas and Gideon want to know more about the false memories.
Sirus makes his first post since he got out of jail where he proceeds to tell the Order why he was sent in there in the first place. He and James have a talk about Pepper while Sirius attacks Dung for being in Slytherin, which just confused Dung even more. Marlene informs Sirius about her run in with Bellatrix prompting Sirius to ask how she isn't dead before the conversation turns to her date with Remus. The Marauders have a talk about people watching them fight. Dorcas is confused about why Sirius got arrested prompting a fight between Sirius and Benjy which soon involved the rest of the Marauders and a couple others. Benjy later felt the need to clear some things up with his friends and for James to gossip about Benjy and how he's a twat.
Anges also gets out of prision, only with much less fanfare and Dung calls everyone idiots. Walden and the baby Death Eaters begin to deal with the safe houses, Evan and Sirus get into a fight. Dorcas has a few things to talk about Marlene with, Astra wants to know Aquilia's work schedule, Peter asks Severus a question, and Aberforth lays down the law and chews out the Order.
Chang begins the 20th by talking to Pepper about a few things and James feels much better and apologizes to Peter for being a twat. Remus gets into a little bit of trouble with Marius and a police man and breaks Marius's nose and gets the appreciation from his friends because he became a 'real man'. Barty has a long talk with himself about his task's before ignoring Regulus and asking Greyback if he can accompany him on the full moon. Pepper begins to question some more and wants to take a holidy somewhere nice. Perhaps Indonesia. Remus posts the new patrol schedule and Meaghan talks about her invitation from Narcissa Malfoy which prompts Benjy to suggest adding Qudditch Games to the list of things to be attacked. Severus tells people about the infomation about the fighting Order and talks to his BFFAquila about using his library. The night ends with some lovely torture and the turning of a new werewolf
Aquilia starts us off with a bit of private musings and talks to Astra about their father. Pepper sends out a memo about the infomation regarding the quidditch stands and wants to confiscate the wands. James lost an antler and wants to hang out with people not in the Order to stir some confusion up. Carlotta talks about her benefit dinner and promises a dance to Gilderoy. Severus and Peter do lunch and 'discuss' things. Narcissa, Aberforth and Severus all have private talks about the events in their life, some happy and some not and Emmeline tells the order about Peppers want for a promotion. Jo and Bill also visit some safe houses for some good old checking up
Sirius begins the 22nd with a long entry about numerous things, including an apology, a few questions, a recap of his week and a list of goals. The day ended with a lovely post from Fenir talking about his new toy werewolf, and asking Barty to help him find the boy. And for a little light note Georgina, Severus, and Evan Imperius the Minister.
On the lovely 23rd James got a job and then thanks Bill and asks him out. Pepper askes Benjy a very important question which causes Benjy some confusion and so he asks his firends for a bit of help. Lucius has something to say about his missingcock peacock and talks to Narcissa about strengthening the wards. Barty has yet another long internal monologue and Dung sells him a book. Barty wants confirmation and so Dung owls a picture over to him and they made a deal, Barty then sending Dung the money. Pepper decides he wants to talk about sex sparking a lot of questions, comments and perhaps a bit of confusion from everyone around them. Remus swore, Marlene feels dirty, Meaghan is nervous and Astra is confused about Severus. Riley ends the day with waffles.
The Order ponders on what sort of hip, swankified hangouts the forces of evil are keeping these days, as Ted reflects on how camps of werewolves seem to be grouping together, and Fabian wonders about death eater safehouses (and gets flailed at again regarding his Pepper connections, this time by Benjy). Fabian's queries, at least, do not have to wait long for answers, as a highly biased Prophet article on the Ministry raids is in the next morning's headlines, while The Quibbler puts their own spin on things.
Riley's outrage over the increase in milk prices becomes breeding ground for Edgar'ssense of humour and Sirius disgusting the members of highsociety with his depravity. Sirius also invites Marlene along on his super-secret Regulus ambushing escapades, as Bellatrix puts her portion of the deal into action. Meanwhile, Pepper getscrap for teaching the younger crowd of the joys of teacup sex and sodomy.
The hotheaded Gryffindor bunch (and Dorcas!) decide to be proactive for once, and take down the No Mudbloods Allowed signs in Diagon Alley, replacing them with something a bit more... colourful. Monday is packed full of strange run-ins, as Agnes and Severus share a sandwich (which leads to a very confused Severus), James is forced (and sort of fails) to be nice to Regulus (which Reggie gloats about and causes James to feel dirty in the midst of his worries about his father falling ill), and Dung and Persephone get tanked. And naked. Sirius succeeds in freaking Marlene out over the concept of werewolf babies, which Aberforth assures her is not a possibility, much to her relief.
After months of flailing for guidance, Dumbledore himself calls an Order Meeting. Later, the world discovers that Edgar can speak Dung. On the other side of loyalties, Alecto is having the best week ever, helping Imperius the Minister of Magic and having a blast placing bombs in the Quidditch stadium. Remus, however, is not having such a good month, and finally admits to his friends that he's been receivinganonymousnotes from someone, the most recent including a present. He is not the only one having a highly emotional day, however; Barty emotes about his mother, Pepper suffers from self-esteem issues and sticks his foot in his mouth again, and Benjy does math to help himself get over a crush. The Prewett twins decide that this will be better accomplished by drinking lots of alcohol (too bad no one took his journal away!. Emmeline has a highly active Thursday, consoling Pepper and playing informant to Rookwood regarding Astronomy and the lunar cycles. While Edgar and Millicent plan to commiserate over the epic fail that occurred at the previous weekend's Quidditch match, Meaghan contemplates the upcoming match between Quidditch's royal family and she and Pepper get in an epic battle of minced words).
Sirius and Regulus's illegal meeting finally takes place, much to Regulus's confusion and displeasure. They end up almost having a moment. Edgar invites everyone and their mother to his son's birthday party on June 7th, and asks the Order in particular to make sure they have secured a reason for being there in the case of nosy Peppers. Speaking of our favourite Slytherin member of the DMLE, Pepper takes the honest route to makenice as Aloysius tries to journal through his confusion, and the two try to reach an understanding.
