Week 13 & 14 - Plot Post

Mod availability;
• Saturday and Sunday I am going to be v. scarce because I actually need to do work. I'll probably be on AIM but working so 'around'.

Mod Goals for May;
• Work on Hogsmeade/Diagon shop descriptions (I did some, omg)
• Set up Blurred_Lines spell post
   - canon spell list + specifications determined in game
   - game canon spell list (take suggestions from players)
• "Social" plot - espionage, soft murder

General infoz;
• This week and much of next is mostly going to be chill week while we recover from Diagon. Plots are welcome, but we prefer intensive plots to happen later this month.
• This weekend might have downtime (as per the Insanejournal update). Take the time to thread in gdocs or go outside or something. <3

Roman Selwyn interrogated (Edgar and Pepper, I believe); releases information about Arcturus Black and a number of safehouses. Begins bargaining for names of death eaters.

Barty Crouch Jr begins investigating Selwyn's location

• Sunday [5/4];

Order training plot [(Remus, Gideon, Peter, Marlene, Agnes) ]; Angered by how messed up order members keep getting, the order plots to set up a covert training center in Hogsmeade (using the magical learning center as base)

Roman Selwyn is murdered in his cell (set up to look like a suicide) for insubordination and treachery to the Death Eaters [Walden and Rookwood]; his death will serve as a warning to other younger death eaters.

	If any DMLE people are interested in logging something a bit lighter than Death Eaters and woe, I will take volunteers for a Carlotta log! If we could work on it this weekend, that'd be the best probably. ping me! Also, Severus is available for Death Eater assignments if needed. Oh, oh! Hmm. So, in the aftermath of Selwyn's grisly fate, Al's actually going to knuckle down and make a serious bid to get herself some pulling power in the organisation. She doesn't want to be at the mercy of the Black's displeasure or anything. So she volunteers for everything, and may in fact make a personal petition to the Dark Lord to make use of her or somesuch.

Willing to have Gideon involved in the Order training, but his IC involvement may be limited by the terms of his official employment. He IS based in Hogsmeade, though, which may make him useful.

I'm going to get writing on Millicent's open letter, get the rhetoric a-stirring.

Is there any way I could talk you into considering allowing me and perhaps a few others a one-shot type of Muggle killing post 8 May, or at least something in regards to it? It's more just a random act of violence, something that Augustus really needs during this time. (Also could allow some others to actually try using Fiendfyre?)

Maybe it could be an alternative for any DEs who weren't involved in the family member plot? Idk - no one is probably interested anyway.

	Reg's already volunteered for the Muggle-pwning spree, and I think I'll go ahead and volunteer Bill for the Roman investigation on Monday; I've been needing to get him involved, so a bit of plot should help! 	I would say that it would involve a couple of aurors investigating some of the safehouses, maybe narratives on what sort of ucky stuff they find. The other possibility is to investigate Roman's death - questioning the guards, examining the body, eventually taking it to the DoM and making them check it out. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	I think Lucius has been involved in most of the recent DE stuff, so I'll pass this time seeing as I have an inhumane amount of work to do. What kind of word count are you after for the column? 	I'm thinking a couple paragraphs (2-300 words) for a side column or 4-500 words for a section (horizontal rather than vertical). You can do whatever pleases you more. If you'd like to do the narrative we'd all like to read it, but if you have a shitton of work to do, I don't want you stressing over a narrative :) (Reply to this) (Parent)

You and Chang/Jenni can work on an autopsy of Roman - brain, body, whatever. Just bear in mind how limited forensics are for wizards. The best they will be able to do is determine that there are internal injuries, external stress, some magical work - but they do not have any way of placing a time upon the injuries, so their official report will be that they are unsure whether these injuries were inflicted at the diagon attack or while he was in his cell. Death was by hanging. Talk to Rookwood/Geoff and Hannah/Selwyn for more info, but absolutely there should be nothing conclusive pointing to either interrogatory abuse or that his death was not a suicide. She and Chang can have suspicions aplenty, but nothing confirmable.
