26 January: Re-opening of the ministry

Daily Prophet article: Carlotta
After the rebellion of the DMLE, the Ministry of Magic has been working diligently to weed out treasonous members of the ministry and restructure the organisation so that the terrorist situation can be dealt with properly. Cases of Azkaban members being unfairly tried and convicted have been reviewed and a number of people have been released.

Order
What sorts of plots do you guys have going/want to see with this week/next month in mind? I know there is a listening device plot going on with Peggy, but I need to know what else is being worked on.

Hogwarts/Dumbledore
Dumbledore strengthening the perimeter of Hogwarts and going on Fidelius calls. Right now he is encouraging the order to focus on gathering information. Order meeting will come in a week or two.

Women's group
I'd love to see the foundation involved in the voting stuff/propaganda

All seems normal, except for missing staff and the replacement of all undersecretaries to the department heads with people who never even worked in the ministry prior to the 'reform.'

Dark Army
Obviously we want to get you guys doing things. Do you have any ideas about things that can happen between now and March (which will be when the DA has some major things to do)?

Media
You may do articles on just about anything you want, but if you'd like to get a head start on articles for the first week of February, I have noted where we will need volunteers (big font for NEEDED and small font for optional) -- and we need a lot of them.

any ministry workers who show up for work today will be stopped at the door and informed that the ministry is closed for repairs and reformation, as dictated by the Wizengamot. They are required to leave their names, and informed that Madame Umbridge will be contacting them shortly. All Ministry workers informed today that they will be on 2 weeks paid leave.

13 - first articles go out about the falsified events of the uprising [DAILY PROPHET]; ministry workers given two paid weeks off for 'repairs' and reformation

Albus Dumbledore opens Hogwarts for any and all fleeing the death eaters

14 - warrants and wanted posters put up for aurors/hitwizards who have left the department (on the crime of treason); guards put outside Gringotts to prevent fugitives from retrieving their funds

16 - public memorial for those killed in the 'treasonous uprising'

17 - safezone traffic restricted for rescreening of guards

19 - ministry announces new identification cards to help weed out known terrorists. all citizens who register within the first week are rewarded with a small stipend and a special mark on his or her card

20 - propaganda goes up, hailing the 'democratic elections' to take place in February for minister of magic

21 - Ladies Luncheon

22 - candidates begin making speeches, putting up posters, making statements; citizens are encouraged to register to vote while they register for identification cards

lol also i post and comment a lot so i'm trying to avoid stealing all the gairloch plot >.> so pepper suggested people who are good with "words and shit" could do pamphlets or whatever. which is clearly not him. atm he is going for walks in the forest in the morning to try and get the hang of being quiet so that, eventually, he might even be able to see and possibly kill a deer! and then helping with the garden or building the rest of the time. manual labour and all.

Severus is interested in working in the Ministry. I'm pretty flexible on where - I know that he'd like to be some place where he has access to information. Perhaps in the Minister's office, or

Carlotta can do articles anywhere pretty much, so long as I know which ones. She could do the one on the 14th or the 8th - and if you need one for today I could probably put that together.

Gairloch: Kingsley is all about helping with construction. He also just started to get the wheels turning on joining Resistance Radio, which is propaganda. Even if that's all the propaganda he does, he should work closely with others (if they're doing posters etc) so they can have complimenting messages. Also he's going to bring up brewing polyjuice again soon.

Death Eaters: Aeneas would like to work in the Ministry. If new departments are created (I think it was brought up in the brainstorming doc for the brave new world) he'd like to do something where he can be like "UH you married a muggleborn your marriage is invalid" etc (working with influencing thought?) but otherwise maybe Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures or Magical Transportation.

Order: Elsie and Damocles are still really interested in the IDs, and I'd like Elsie to start making fakes.

Other:
- I can make a campaign poster for one of the Minister Candidates.

- Peggy wants Muggle-hunting to be legalised. That could be brought up at the dark creature negotiations on the 8th?

- Will there be Minister debates? I would very much like that. They could be public debates set up in Diagon Alley or something.

- With the Post Office going ID-card-holders only, will the people there be given training on how to check if the IDs are real, etc? This would be fortuitous for Elsie if she's making fakes.

Order stuff: The MWPP are hard at work on the maps. The plan is for the Diagon Alley one to be finished around the end of Feb (and we'll have a couple logs and journal entries to show progress over the month).

Aaaand I have some other things for the listening devices (and a possible idea or two for the DA) but I need to confirm them with other people first. :( I'll get back to you.

Fenrir - Did you want me to write up any sort of narrative or statement for Fenrir's repenting? *snicker* I saw that you have some plans for the DA in March but in terms of the Ministry, Fenrir doesn't technically have any ambitions though the idea of controlling some sort of secret police tickles his fancy. He might be a bit more restless and impatient by the time he 'repents' though. I do have some thoughts about him slowly getting more and more annoyed about how things are going for him and his army - but how that goes will largely depend on what happens in-game.

Aloysius - If it's okay with you, I was going to have Aloysius slowly have some success with some of the things Rufus asked for way back when. He may not be able to produce them in large numbers but they'll be available for the Gairloch guerillas. (Sounds like a Quidditch team.)

Aberforth - Will be taking part in the Malfoy mayhem but I have some vague ideas about getting him involved in other bits of mischief either on his own or with Caradoc, James and anyone else who cares to join in. I have yet to think up what that mischief might be but I was thinking small bits of sabotage, helping people persecuted by the new Ministry, maybe a bit of spying. I need to think about that though.

Matilda: I can sign her up a for a few small things like id cards and such. She can easily mention them in a broadcast or whatnot and then I'll also take one of the bigger media bits, whichever one you need most filled, and I'll write up a news broadcast dealy for it.

Walden: He's not planning on leaving the Ministry as he originally planned but if he'd really like a new department if it's possible. There's no real preference but if you can think of some position that might be good for him then he's willing.

Gawain: I'll volunteer him for the Gairloch shenanigans coming up.

This was all much more detailed in my head but I'm half asleep and nauseous as heck so I'm just going to bed.

	Atticus would like to work in the new Ministry. He says he's probably best suited for the Wizengamot, International Magical Law or something legal-ish, but he's open to just about anything. Except the maintenance crew. :p (Reply to this)
