Week 22-25 Plot

Week 22-25 - Plot Post estimated timeframe 28 june - 2 august    Mod availability; • I am going to be busting my ass this month to make sure I get a paper out in August. I should be reasonably available on AIM after 7 pm PST for ~4 hours a day and available via email or text the rest of the time. Chances are I will be on earlier than that, but I don't want to guarantee anything. Mod Goals for July; • Lots of complete logs! • Get the Dark Creatures post done before 6 July • Do not go crazy with apps • Make this the most epic month of your life Activity Check; • Will take place between 29 June and 5 July, so that I can have all inactive chars swept out before apps open. All characters will be required to have one journal or log between 15 June and 5 July. Main characters should have another log in addition to that journal or log. Media; • If you have volunteered to work on media posts, please write them and comment to the placeholders so I can add them. We need these done asap. • Please don't volunteer for media spots this month unless you can complete them on time. It is important that the articles we get up actually go up when they are supposed to. Plot Post; • I'm going to be trying a new style this month: post a month's worth of plot and then every day (or couple of days) post "daily events" in the OOC journal so that we have one reference point and daily reminders of what's going on.   Summary post should be up in the next few days   I. Major plot events the next month; Muggle World 5 - The Queen attends the 1000th annual sitting of the Isle of Man's Parliament, the Tynwald. 12 - Kiribati (formerly Gilbert Islands) becomes independent of the United Kingdom. 16 - Iraqi President Hasan al-Bakr resigns and Vice President Saddam Hussein replaces him. 17 - Athlete Sebastian Coe sets a record time for running a mile, completing it in 3 minutes 48.95 seconds. 19 - The Marxist Sandinistas take control of Nicaragua. 19 - Maria de Lurdes Pintasilgo becomes prime minister of Portugal. 31 - Four hundred Iranian pilgrims are killed after clashes with Saudi security forces in Mecca.   Game (blue = character chosen already; pink = volunteer needed) • Sunday [6/29] Elle assigned to espionage work; Rufus will give her the name of a strongly suspected death eater who has not yet been arrested (Evan) and the rest is up to her. She'll have a couple weeks to convince him he's seduced her with his pretty hair and big words and then lay the seeds of a trap. Exciting business. • Monday [6/30] The ministry issues an internal gag order (started by Crouch, who else?) forbidding all ministry workers from referencing their work in any way in non-ministirial wards. All employees are required to report with their journals and have them specially tagged. Refusal will result in a reprimand and subsequent dismissal if not rectified within 10 days. Mafalda Hopkirk promoted to part of an enforcement committee. Daily Prophet - Smith is fed fake information to report: Elle Abercrombie relieved of duty on suspicion of leaked information (to help her with her 'street cred', wut.) - no one but Rufus and Barty know this move isn't staged. • Tuesday [7/01] Order of the Phoenix begins privately advertising that its classes will begin soon. ---> [Dung, Dedalus, Lily, James, Emmeline, Andromeda] • Wednesday [7/02] Nothing yet • Thursday [7/03] Adelaide Quinn is reprimanded for violating the ministry gag order • Friday [7/04] Josephine Savage steals Pepper's polyjuice stash and transforms into Bellatrix Lestrange in an attempt to glean some information about the death eaters. She is discovered by Rodolphus and brutally attacked in the Lestrange Library. • Saturday [7/05] Nothing yet • Sunday [7/06] Josephine spends time recovering (as she is stil on involuntary leave of absence) and contacts Benjy Fenwick - one of the order's less irresponsible members. She gives him information on Lestrange's library and suggests he collect evidence that will put Rodolphus away for good. Benjy contacts Gideon, employee of the library, and the two plot what to do. • Monday [7/07] Order classes begin ---> [Mary, Moody, Peter, Meaghan, Remus] • Tuesday [7/08] Adelaide Quinn violates the ministry gag order for a second time tonight. • Wednesday [7/09] Adelaide Quinn formally relieved of duty • Thursday [7/10] Nothing yet • Friday [7/11] Voldemort issues a public ultimatum to the ministry and media outlets: Hand over the ministership or dire consequences will follow. Trimble, under advice of Barty Crouch, publicly refuses. • Saturday [7/12] Elle's trap is finally laid and a battle breaks out between the aurors and death eaters. ---> Death eaters [Georgina, Evan, Goyle, Barty ] ---> Aurors [Alice & Frank, Moody, Elladora, Kate ] • Sunday [7/13] Nothing yet • Monday [7/14] Daily Prophet - report on the battle; Longbottoms popularity increases wildly ---> Daily Prophet [Smith] ---> Witch Weekly [Gilderoy] • Tuesday [7/15] Public trial of the death eater captured during the DE/auror battle. Goyle names Avery Sr, Avery Jr, Georgina Wilkes, and Crabbe Sr as death eaters. Wilkes is, sadly, dead, and the Averies escape before captured. Crabbe is captured. Daily Prophet - zomg the ministry did something not stupid • Wednesday [7/16] Paperwork finally goes through (Riley dismissed from the ministry). • Thursday [7/17] Benjy and Gideon get together to investigate the Lestrange Library, later reporting to Fabian • Friday [7/18] Werewolves attack London to fulfill Voldemort's ultimatum. Over fifty muggles are killed, as well as some of the magical population. Millicent Bagnold, along with Octavius Pepper, Alastor Gumboil, and members of the Werewolf taskforce, attempt to control the situation. Two werewolves are killed and one is captured • Saturday [7/19] Public outcry over attacks pushes some bureaucrats deep within the ministry to reassess the current political situation. Protests against werewolf rights break out and pressure is put on the ministry for harsher methods. Many employers and landlords 'reconsider' their werewolf employees and tenants. Fenrir's army swells. Ted Tonks is swamped with angry complaints and some frustrated werewolves (narrative?) ---> Protest volunteers needed [Betty, Caspar Crouch, Grady, Poufy!npc, Catriona McCormack, Magdalene Pepper ] • Sunday [7/20] Nothing yet • Monday [7/21] Daily Prophet - article with a new message: Millicent Bagnold for president! Or, rather, it details how she killed two werewolves and captured a third, and is the most valuable member of the DMLE at the moment.
