Prior to the meeting, Caradoc would have returned to the Cregduff site to take photographs of the area. These would be spread out over a tabletop in the kitchen of the safehouse for all to see and comprehend.
The spell being used to set-up the Death Eaters is an old Druidical spell Caradoc knew of from his father's collection of rare British documents. Essentially, it will combine each element (earth, air, water, fire) to "purge bad blood" - freezing it in the bearer's veins.
These are the representations of each element:
A collection of white granite river rocks to ring the fire, representing earth. The spell also requires the wood burnt to be of a dead oak tree.
The fire that will heat the cauldron (which much be forged from meteoric metal) obviously represents fire.
The liquid inside the cauldron will contain (representing water) -
Dove's blood, Fen water and the venom of an adder.
And a gryphon feather, representing air.
