Date & Time: Friday, 27 December 2002 | morning visiting hours
Post Type: RP
Status: Complete
Character(s): Susan Bones, Charlie Weasley, Molly Weasley, Nicky Bones (NPC), other Weasleys as wanted
Location: St. Mungo's
Summary: An owl from Charlie prompts Molly to visit the hospital. The Weasley family gains a member.
Retcon Info: Picks up after this thread, except with the date pushed to Dec 26. No major changes other than the timeframes.

Susan sat in Nicky's room on the fourth floor, where all of the rest of the disease patients were located, with one hand resting lightly on her son's arm, staring rather blankly down at him. The rush and excitement of the previous night had died down to a whisper, leaving only the fear and anxiety behind. Everyone had urged her to get some sleep, but she was too attuned to Nicky's every little movement, every change in breathing, every tiny whimper, and she knew that sleeping right now would be impossible.

It didn't help, either, that things with Charlie were still pretty awkward. Not bad. Merlin knew he'd been wonderful, given everything going on and what she'd thrown at him the night before. But that didn't change the necessary shift between them. She was too tired to think how to talk to him again, and too frightened for her son--their son--to worry over saying the right or wrong things. Right or wrong, for the moment she could only hope that time would handle it, and she was focusing on the here and now.
