When Samantha elaborated on the possible long term effects, Cho nodded as she thought about the broader scope affected by everything that had happened. “I wasn’t expecting anything like this situation when I took the position at the apothecary.” After receiving her Mastery, she had been eager to use her knowledge to help people and St. Mungo’s had seemed like the perfect place for that. Cho managed a small smile as she tried to look forward rather than dwell on the past. “If anything positive comes from the whole experience, I think more precautionary measures will now be taken at the apothecary and hopefully that will apply to hiring procedures as well.”
Cho’s face relaxed into a wider smile when Samantha mentioned the need for advance planning. “I've been quite the Ravenclaw already making lists to cover every contingency.” Whether her absence from the apothecary was for a vacation or altogether, she planned to make sure it was running well whenever she left. As for the trip, the only thing she really needed was Stephen.
They gave their drink orders to the server and agreed to share a sausage and onion pizza. Cho leaned back in her chair, appreciative of the casual atmosphere of the restaurant which made for a nice lunch break away from the hospital setting. She thought it sounded like Samantha’s new venture at Good Omens worked well with a few timing changes to her schedule. “I’m glad things are going well for you.” Samantha appeared to have an intuitive ability for interpreting the cards which made Cho wonder. “Have you explored other methods of Divination, or is tarot your preference?”
