Penelope ate chips while Percy talked. She didn't remember Susan Bones, but she wondered if she would recognise her face. Not likely. It's been years. She's probably grown up and changed now.
Then she laughed. "You should! I'd read it." Penelope felt a pang of sorrow. She would love to write a family newsletter except it would say Still missing.
"Let's eat at your flat next. I'd love to see if I could reach both walls," she said playfully. When she was finished eating and Percy was too, she tilted back her mug of wine and finished it off. "Should we tackle a few boxes then?"
