Abel and Roxy
Her Appartment
Mid-afternoon
Abel comes home
Since Parker arrived Roxy hadn't found herself alone all that often and while she wasn't the most social of creatures she had enjoyed it. The years they had spent apart seemed to melt away when they were together now and it had begun to feel like, with the exception of Abel still off, her life and the world around her was starting to find a little balance and more importantly peace. Of course peace seemed to bring the mundane and domestic, like now as she was putting away clean laundry while mindlessly humming to herself. She couldn't remember the last time she was regularly doing laundry, or mopping as she had done before she had left for the laundromat, even a little cooking. Though to be fair she had simply fried up a whole package for herself and her sister before she left for whatever it was she was doing that day. Parker had to supervise her of course, to save her from burning herself or the bacon, but it had turned out alright and her sister had even given Thomas a slice or two before she headed out the door.
It made Thomas think he was 'hot stuff', and since then he had been demanding to be the center of Roxy's attention. One of the ways he did this was to flop down on her laundry basket and hop back in every time she nudged him out.
"Do you do this to your daddy?" she asked as she put the last of it away. "No, I don't suppose you do. Your daddy had people to do his laundry for him, didn't he? And brush his teeth, and cook for him and all that stuff, huh? I totally expected you to have a gold-plated litter box, you know. Maybe you ought to convince him to get you one." she made a kissing noise at him with her lips as she bent to scratch the spot just above his tail. It felt strange to be responsible for another little life but there was a lot nice about it, she was sure she was going to be tempted to get a cat of her own once Thomas had to go back to Abel. It wasn't a good idea of course, but it did seem to suit how domestic her life was becoming these days.
A knock at the door made her jump a little, she had been paying attention to the cat and her own thoughts, leading her to miss the sound of feet in the hallway beyond her door. With a sigh she pressed a kiss to Thomas' forehead, "Hold on, pretty boy, I'll be back." The familiar scent hit her as she left her bedroom, only having to take one or two steps before she reached the door. Her hands on the lock and knob were quick, wanting to confirm what her nose was telling her, and soon enough the door was open. She didn't waste any time, she simply gave him a quick glance up and down to be sure it was him then reached up to grab the collar of his shirt and dragged his face down a little so she could plant a long kiss on his beautiful lips.
