"Wolves and homeless people. Sounds like a rough crowd." She pursed her lips and rocked back on her heels, then nodded firmly as if she had weighed the odds and found them acceptable. Kaylee had always kept a tighter leash on her magical inclinations than most people out of the sheer instinct that a strict upbringing had instilled in her. The Hunter background was there in the aura, but the magical abilities were nothing but an undertone no matter how they were overtaking her life. She had her power under control now, even if she did still have much to learn. It was a part of her life, but it would never be as great a part of who she was as the world she had run away from. She didn't have much say in that.
