Her answer about the coven pleased him well enough. "I have something else you will like. But I need a favor from you. You can have whatever you like from the shop and I will show you my other familiar, one you will likely find more pleasant than Agador here."
So there was a catch. But he was still talking in terms of a choice, which was a good sign for her. If he was asking, there was a decent enough chance that there wouldn't be consequences to saying no.
