Roxy and Leonardo
Lucky 13
Early Evening
"That's sort of the trouble in stealing from drag queens," Roxy was still talking on her new phone her way through the door and into the bar. She hadn't bought the thing of course, instead opting to obtain it the way she always did which meant good-old pick-pocketing. She had been selective in her target though, the iPhone with it's hideous pattern of multi-colored and patterned mustaches had belonged to some ironically-clad hipster princess. She had been photographing her food before eating it and had let it sit beside her plate for too long, giving Roxy ample time to grab it from her table as she walked by. As far as she was concerned she was doing the world a favor, not only in taking it but in calling her sister to let her know she was still alive. The last thing the world needed was her sister going on a worried rampage to look for her. "They're usually big fuckers, like over six five and whatever. So yeah, if I knew how to sew I would look absolutely fabulous. Anyway sis, I've got to run, it was good talking to you. Yeah, I love you too, bye."
Once she found herself a place at the bar she slid the ugly phone into her jacket pocket and signaled the bartender, "Bottle of Corona please, no lime. And you guys serious about that?" she pointed at the no smoking sign over the bar, leaning forward in anticipation of her first beer and cigarette combo in San Francisco, ready to grab the lighter and cigarettes hidden under her jacket.
The bartender nodded as he put down the bottle and set a bowl of popcorn within her reach, "Yep we are. But if you're in the mood to suck something I-"
She cut him off, "Yeah, no, I'm gonna stop you there. I'm good with this beer and probably urine-soaked snacks, thanks though." Creep, she muttered under her breath when he turned his back.
